Job Description:
Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Health & Safety Trainee to join our team in Madrid. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate passionate about workplace safety and eager to gain hands-on experience. Under the guidance of the Global Health & Safety Director, the trainee will support the implementation and monitoring of safety programs, analyze critical data, work on coordination and execution of internal communication campaigns, and assist in training and compliance efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Help drive safety programs across various geographies through effective communication and coordination.
Support the preparation and delivery of safety reports and analytics.
Assist in the development and execution of global safety initiatives.
Help organize and coordinate wellness activities.
Maintain safety documentation and digital records.
Work with external Vendors to translate internal documents and assist in distribution.
Prepare and process new Vendor documentation.
Collaborate with Concession leadership on reporting requirements.
Assist in preparing safety reports and trend analyses.
Support creation of narratives for Business Development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety.
Assist with department budget tracking of expenses, invoices, and other administrative duties.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
No prior experience required, but internships or coursework in safety or compliance are a plus.
Language Requirements:
English: Bilingual proficiency (C2 or equivalent). Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English in professional and technical contexts.
Spanish: Fluent (minimum C1). Strong verbal and written communication skills required for day-to-day business interactions.
Professional Qualities:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communicator, both written and verbal.
Passion and respect for others safety and wellbeing
Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to work well and collaborate as part of a team.
Computer Skills:
Comfortable with digital tools for data entry and reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
