GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Traffic Control Foreman provides management for traffic control crew and their material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule.
Assists in supervising, leads, assigns, participates in, and inspects the work of crews involved in all aspects of traffic control; i.e., road striping, pavement marking, and the fabrication and installation of all types of temporary and permanent signs and traffic control devices.

Operates a crawler tractor with a bulldozer mounted in front of chassis to level, distribute and push earth or other material.

- Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.

Operates a crawler or rubber-tired machine mounted with an excavator bucket. Used for excavating ditches, structures and mass excavations, laying pipe and precast concrete structures, loading trucks and placing rock riprap. May also be equipped with various hydraulic attachments.
