Job Description:
Position Summary
Responsible for maintenance, servicing and repairs of roads and other infrastructure assets. This individual will be responsible for maintaining contracted assets (such as roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, etc.) per standards in the contract and as directed by supervisor.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control by setup and removal of traffic control devices including cones, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, etc.
- Must be comfortable working from heights in bucket trucks, scaffolding, ladders and aerial platforms lifts.
- Basic maintenance and repair of bridge structures and equipment rooms including portals, railings, expansion joints, doors, and painting as required.
- Repairs/maintains functionality of roadway catch basins, sumps and pumps, fire hydrants and other mechanical assets through use of shovels and other hand or power tools and equipment.
- Repairs/maintains functionality of equipment room ventilation systems
- Repairs/maintains basic electrical systems including emergency telephones, CCTV systems, electronic traffic signs, call boxes, lane signals, lighting,
- Transports crew and equipment to work sites operating vehicle large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
- Required to be available for emergency response rotations as need for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Controls vegetation appearance and growth through use of lawn mowing equipment, hand or power trimmers, and chemical sprayers and other methods
- Maintains the appearance and functionality of signs, guardrails, fence, and lighting through repair and/or replacement using hand or power tools.
- Keep roadways free of debris including ice and snow by using snow removal and/or sanding equipment
- Transports crew and equipment to work sites operating vehicle pickup trucks and specialized motor vehicles
- Required to be available and assessable for emergency response rotations as need for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- All other duties as assigned.

- Maintain and repair highway structures including concrete, structural steel, welding, expansion joints, carpentry and painting as required.
- Creates safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T.) control by setup and removal of traffic controls devices including cones, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, etc.
- Must be comfortable working from heights in bucket trucks, snooper trucks, scaffolding, ladders and aerial platforms lifts.
- Repairs/maintains functionality of bridge and culvert slopes, berms, drains, etc. through use of shovels and other had or power tools and equipment.
- Controls vegetation appearance and growth through use of lawn moving equipment, hard or power trimmers, and chemical sprayers and other methods.
- Maintains the appearance and functionality of bridge fender systems including navigational signs, lighting, and all elements of the structural fender systems.
- Must be comfortable working in and around water and from boats.

Responsible for the efficient and safe workings of the traffic flow through the roadways and tunnels, including the coordination and management of complex tunnel safety systems in response to incidents and Emergencies from the Tunnel Control Centers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Turf maintenance such as large machine, slope and small machine mowing, via the use of heavy equipment/mowing machinery.
- Upkeep and care of large, intermediate and small tractor/mowing equipment to include routine PM maintenance cycles, cleaning, lubrication and sharpening of mower blades.

Responsible for removal of litter & debris, and the maintenance, servicing and repairs of roads and other infrastructure assets. This individual will be responsible for maintaining contracted assets (such as roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, litter removal, drainage, etc.) per standards in the contract and as directed by supervisor.

The I-77 Express Lanes project represents the first P3 project in the state of North Carolina and will provide significant infrastructure improvements years sooner than otherwise possible if relied solely on public funds. A Cintra-led team was selected to develop the 26-mile project which runs between the junction with I-277 in Charlotte and NC-150 in Iredell County. The project consists of constructing new express lanes, converting the current High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes to Express Lanes, repaving the general-purpose lanes and implementing a dynamic pricing toll system. Once complete, the project will relieve congestion and enhance mobility by increasing existing road capacity.

As the Maintenance Technician, you will operate automotive and maintenance equipment to transport material, equipment and maintenance personnel as well as performing skilled highway maintenance duties. Operates assigned automotive equipment and construction equipment such as tractors, mowers, sweepers, bucket trucks and Truck Mounted Attenuators (TMA’s), and operate assigned gas or hand tools to complete Daily Assignments

Inspects equipment for proper operating condition, makes minor repairs or adjustments, lubricates and assists in making repairs as required

Performs miscellaneous skilled maintenance on the I-77 Express Lanes Project as required.

Performs miscellaneous duties, such as general traffic control, pavement repair, landscaping, painting, relamping, miscellaneous barrier repairs, and available on-call after hours for emergency maintenance service, as needed

Responds to traffic incidents, provides roadside assistance to motorists on I-77 between uptown Charlotte and Mooresville and available on-call after hours for emergency incident response, as needed

Performs miscellaneous building maintenance as required

What you bring to the table:

Our working environment:
I-77 wants to ensure that all of their employees are comfortable and able to work in the type of culture and environment we have built our business on. As a maintenance technician you must have the ability and willingness to work alternate work schedules, including weekends and night shifts and be assigned to a scheduled shift as needed. You may be required to work off hours on a regularly scheduled basis. You will be working on the roadway, the noise level ranges from moderate to high given that the employee will be working around heavy machinery and in traffic conditions. You must be able to individually lift and/or move up to 80 lbs. You will be frequently required to stand, walk, climb, drive and sit for long periods of time during day and night operation. There will be some roadway travel required. During the seasons, you will be required to mow grass, weed-eat and pick up debris for up to 12 hours. Position Summary
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of project vehicles and equipment by executing expertise in repairing all types of vehicles and equipment through inspection and servicing of all vehicles, holding performance testing and replacing or repairing defective vehicle components, diagnose of operational issues and complying with provincial requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Thoroughly inspecting vehicles and equipment and detecting any malfunctions or damages and performing repairs or replacements as needed using proper tools and equipment

Placing orders for necessary spare parts and ensuring the timely procurement of the same

Diagnose problems and vehicle operation issues and recommend change of parts or any other necessary services for the vehicle

Accurate daily maintenance records/reports and preparation of cost estimates for repairs and service requests.

Ensuring all company vehicles and equipment are safe pass inspections and comply with provincial standards and regulations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with customers/employees.

Ability to detect malfunctions and a sound understanding of using all repair tools, equipment and testing machinery.

Must have a good understanding of current principles, techniques and practices used in repairing and maintaining vehicles as well as electronic/electrical and hydraulic systems used in vehicles.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and well versed in using technical service manuals.

Knowledge of snow removal equipment, sander controllers, loaders, graders, backhoes would be an asset.

About us:
Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is a part of the Ferrovial Group in Texas. In 2021, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) selected Alamo NEX Construction, LLC, a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction Texas, LLC and DBW, LLC (both Ferrovial Group subsidiaries), to complete the Interstate 35 (I-35) NEX Central Project. This project is a $1.5 billion Texas Design-Build (DB) project through the cities of San Antonio, Live Oak, Selma, and Schertz that will consist of non-tolled improvements along I-35, I-140, and Loop 1604. Position Summary: Work from plans to build, assemble, fit together, align, plumb, and set in place forms for molding concrete structures.
Job Duties
· Construct forms for the placement of concrete and structures
· Checks forms while concrete is placed
· Assist and direct others in stripping forms after concrete is placed
· Install miscellaneous materials in erecting concrete structures
· Assist with rigging and erecting materials
· Install permanent metal deck forms
· Work with hand tools and power tools
· Other unlisted duties will be required
Job Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required
· Ability to communicate in English or Spanish via verbal and written communications
· Move through a construction job site which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds
· Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
· Manual dexterity is sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
