Job Description:
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Operates a crawler or rubber-tired machine mounted with an excavator bucket. Used for excavating ditches, structures and mass excavations, laying pipe and precast concrete structures, loading trucks and placing rock riprap. May also be equipped with various hydraulic attachments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
- Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials.
- Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
- May oil, grease, or otherwise service the machine.
- Make necessary adjustment to equipment as needed.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Job Description:
Position Summary
Responsible for maintenance, servicing and repairs of roads and other infrastructure assets. This individual will be responsible for maintaining contracted assets (such as roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, etc.) per standards in the contract and as directed by supervisor.
*Please note – in order to support our road maintenance services, this role may be assigned to operations of equipment for winter as required.

Position Summary

Position Summary
Assist with identifying or verifying required maintenance work, interpreting contracts, scheduling and coordinating in-house or sub-contractor work and ensuring work meets contract specifications. Assists with ensuring all aspects of the contract are coordinated and completed in a timely, efficient, effective and profitable manner.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure services provided are in compliance with approved performance standards

Perform condition assessments of pavements, signs, guardrails, bridges, vegetation and other contract requirements. Assist with scheduling and coordinating work to be performed.

Complete paperwork performed by ensure compliance with contract requirements

Develop and manage performance of all patrol staff

Assist with managing, monitoring and controlling highway project assets and materials

Identify opportunities for changes and improvements in work methods, processes, efficiency and cost reduction

Accurate and timely completion and entry of work reporting and timesheets

Purchase supplies and maintaining an inventory of all supplies within the assigned patrol area

Coordinate and track all required new hire training and ongoing required safety and work standard training

Assist with inspection, calibration and repair of fleet

**Candidate must be available to attend 4 weeks of paid training in Raleigh**
As the Roadside Assistance Technician, you will operate a high equipped vehicle for performing roadside assistance operations, such as accident management, abandoned vehicles tagging and minor assistances (tire change and provide fuel and/or water). An I-77 MP Traffic Management Center operator will be dispatching and assisting you during all events. You will also work in occasions with maintenance personnel, for providing them traffic control and other maintenance duties. You will receive a full training period and constant refreshers to ensure that the roadside assistance is performed on the safest way possible.
We do require open availability; the coverage requirement is 24/7/365 instead of a specific shift. We will do everything we can to not assign people rotating or crazy shifts, but we do have to consider business needs.
We’re looking for team members that are available to cover multiple shifts when needed.

Position Summary
Provides leadership, direct and indirect supervision of maintenance crews while performing daily work activities of maintaining contracted assets. Responsible for maintenance, servicing and repairs of roads and other infrastructure assets. This individual will be responsible for maintaining contracted assets (such as roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, etc.) per standards in the contract and as directed by supervisor.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Trains, directs and coordinates the work of crews to perform maintenance activities based upon local work-plan through consultation with Zone Superintendent in compliance with company safety rules and safe practices.
- Assists in making recommendations by monitoring employee performance for coaching, rewards and disciplining employees to address complaints and resolve problems.
- Directs and coordinates local emergency response and responds as needed to road closures or incidents.
- Creates safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control by setup and removal of traffic control devices including cones, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, etc.
- Must be comfortable working from heights in bucket trucks, scaffolding, ladders and aerial platforms lifts.

Position Summary
Will provide program processes and oversight for permit coordination, review, tracking and compliance monitoring. Will also facilitate permit applications and engineering plans, site visits of proposed projects, final inspections and closeout, attendance at pre-construction meetings.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain the Webber Permit Processing Program.
- Processing of utility, driveway, special use, drainage, house moving, road closure and landscaping permits and all necessary paperwork involved.
- Field inspections of utility, driveway, special use, drainage, house moving, road closure and landscaping permits during and after the construction to ensure conformance with a specific state department of transportation regulations and specifications.
- Act as a company representative in providing information to DOT regarding policy concerning permits when requested. Coordinate and handle problems that may occur between Webber, the public, utility companies and the DOT. This position requires frequent contact with the public and surrounding utility companies’ engineers and contractors.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Consultant to staff in the review of plans and specifications, including phases for maintenance of traffic, utility conflicts and erosion control. This involves reviewing entire sets of plans as submitted by the applicant for roadway and right of way encroachment. This review is to be founded on a knowledgeable interpretation of, but not limited to, the following administrative rules: vegetative rules, private right-of-way usage, use of state highway facilities, regulation of signs, utility installation, building moving permits, temporary closing and special use of state roads, drainage connections, and state highway system connections access management.
- Coordinate and/or make field reviews of proposed installation project sites to determine any influencing factors that may affect the installation not previously disclosed. Participate in pre-construction conferences prior to the proposed construction.
- Present monthly summary and permit status reports to the Project Manager. These reports shall include, but not limited to the following: Number of permit applications received by type for the subject month; number of days to issuance date from date application is received; current and outstanding issues impacting the expeditious handling and issuance of permits, and any pertinent communications with DOT.
- Performs condition assessment of pavements, signs, guardrails, tunnels, bridges, vegetation and other contract requirements. Schedules and coordinate work to be performed. Assist with roadway characteristics through RCI inventory.
- Assists PM to determine best approach (self-performance or sub-contract) for bringing assets into contract compliance considering cost, timelines and efficiency.
- Present and ready for work every work day on time.
- Inspects in-process and completed work to insure compliance with contract requirements
- Responds to incident emergencies when on call and as needed and assists in coordinating work of on-site responders. Reports accident/injury (actual and near misses).
- Manage, monitor and control highway project equipment and materials.
- Identifies opportunities for changes and improvements in work methods, processes, efficiency and cost reduction.
- Create and manage successful completion of all work orders.
- Responsible for accurate and timely completion and entry of work reporting and timesheets. Prepares other reports and correspondence as necessary. Enters data into SAP.

Position Summary
Responsible for the efficient and safe workings of the traffic flow through the roadways and tunnels, including the coordination and management of complex tunnel safety systems in response to incidents and Emergencies from the Tunnel Control Centers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, effective and efficient ongoing traffic operations, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), incident response, and maintenance access of the Tunnel
- Coordinate detection, assessment, and verification of incidents and emergencies
- Provide accurate incident notification/dispatch to IRC and 911 dispatch communications
- Communicate and transmit real-time traffic information to the TMC regarding any incidents or emergencies upon occurrence and coordinate the response of other supporting emergency agencies
- Initiate appropriate action per the incident response protocol including operation of life safety systems and coordinated response to on-road incidents with incident response personnel and external Agencies in accordance with approved IMP's
- Monitor roadway surface to ensure the tunnel is free from hazards and debris
- Perform security monitoring of tunnel and equipment regularly
- Participate in testing of TSI critical operational systems and tunnel emergency drills
- Develop and maintain an expert working knowledge of the tunnel SCADA and TSCS control systems, including their criticality in performance monitoring, data accuracy, and availability metrics
- Participate in frequent training opportunities including induction, cross skilling, toolbox, and NIMS
- Keep work environment free of distractions
- Participate in control room shift handover at end of every shift
- Provide feedback on opportunities for implementing Better Way and Continuous Improvement
- Assist with logging subcontractor and approved visitor access to the Project via the Tunnel Operations Center.

- Knowledge of traffic and real-time incident management operations (Preferred)

- Must be able to change and adapt quickly within a constantly evolving and fast-paced work environment.
- The candidate must possess strong focus and resilience working under pressure within very limited time constraints while balancing ongoing multiple priorities.
- Ability to take appropriate action prior to arrival of first responders is a must. The individual should have strong communication skills.
- The candidate will be flexible changing roles between leading as well as supporting other tunnel operators, responding entities, and maintenance response crews during all phases of incident management.
- This position requires the ability to implement prescribed incident response emergency procedures. Must have the ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident.
- Must be able to observe safety requirements in the workplace. Must be able to think clearly and focus on your safety in your immediate surroundings, while using tools and equipment, driving, or operating equipment. Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to the tasks per site policy.

- Prior work experience in a transportation management / traffic operations control center preferred Serious consideration will also be given to applicants with a background in one of the following critical, strategic control center environments: 911 operator, first responder support, casino security, energy utility, or military/intelligence operations.

Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is a part of the Ferrovial Group in Texas. In 2021, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) selected Alamo NEX Construction, LLC, a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction Texas, LLC and DBW, LLC (both Ferrovial Group subsidiaries), to complete the Interstate 35 (I-35) NEX Central Project.
