About us:

North Tarrant Infrastructure, LLC is one of the subsidiaries of the Ferrovial Group in the U.S. It is currently working on several projects in the U.S., including the North Tarrant Express (NTE) Projects (“NTE Projects”). The NTE Extension Project is a part of the NTE Projects, which consist of a series of major highway improvements to the critical I-820 and SH-121/183 corridor in North Tarrant County, Texas. The NTE Projects will relieve congestion, improve safety, and provide for anticipated traffic growth in one of the country’s fastest developing regions. The NTE First Project was a $1.451 billion design-build project consisting of rebuilding the existing main lanes as well as adding four toll-managed lanes, frontage roads and auxiliary lanes in the corridor between I-35 West and Industrial Boulevard. The NTE Extension Project is the next part of the NTE Projects. The construction of the original $984 million part of the project (Segment 3A) was completed by North Tarrant Infrastructure, LLC, and the current $580.5 million part (Segment 3C) of the NTE Extension Project is presently being carried out by North Tarrant Infrastructure, LLC.

Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is a part of the Ferrovial Group in Texas. In 2021, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) selected Alamo NEX Construction, LLC, a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction Texas, LLC and DBW, LLC (both Ferrovial Group subsidiaries), to complete the Interstate 35 (I-35) NEX Central Project. This project is a $1.5 billion Texas Design-Build (DB) project through the cities of San Antonio, Live Oak, Selma, and Schertz that will consist of non-tolled improvements along I-35, I-140, and Loop 1604. The proposed improvements will include the addition of elevated managed lanes to I-35, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/I-410 North interchange, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/Loop 1604 interchange, and widening of Loop 1604 in Bexar and Guadalupe Counties.

    This is a three-to-four-month assignment where you will assist a Project Team with the management, field construction activities and documentation of a project.

    Job Duties

  • Communicate with Foremen and Superintendent to learn about field construction operations and to provide support.

  • Assist with the Project Environmental, Health, Safety requirements.

About the role

We are looking for an intern to join our Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence within the Digital Hub. As part of the team, we are seeking someone who is curious, eager to learn, and naturally interested in how AI can support our business areas (Construction, Highways, Airports, Energy, Digital Infrastructures and/or Headquarters).

The selected candidate will join our team of Data Scientists and AI Engineers, contributing to the development and adaptation of AI models to solve business challenges and build digital products. As such, you will have the opportunity to participate in projects involving AI Agents and Generative AI, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and more.

The ideal candidate should have a strong capacity for learning, be results-oriented, and possess solid teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of artificial intelligence projects in any of their branches (machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, etc.).
  • Assist in the initial analysis of use cases and their data.
  • Conduct research into new AI models and techniques that could be applied to the challenges you are involved in.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting risk identification, quantification, monitoring, follow-up, and action plans (Enterprise Risk Management).
  • Assisting with internal and external reports and presentations.
  • Participating in the implementation of the new GRC tool, including data collection, testing, process validation, documentation, and transition support.
  • Liaising with risk managers to gather information for analysis and validate results.
  • Helping identify and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs)
  • Emerging risks, researching trends, and analyzing potential impacts.
  • Updating procedures and regulations for the Risk Area.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics and/or Business Administration and Management, Engineering, Actuarial, Data Statistics or Mathematics.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • C1 level of English.
  • Responsible, methodological and organized person, with learning and analytical skills. Adaptable, with ability to relate and work in a team, dynamic and proactive.
  • Interested in an international environment to develop your work as well as to interact with interlocutors from different backgrounds.
