Creating value for our Communities

We strengthen regional economies by partnering with local talent and supporting workforce development, while investing in education, safety, and social programs that foster long-term prosperity.

What We Do

Supporting Economic Growth and Regional Prosperity

The value generated for our communities starts even before we break ground on our cutting-edge mobility solutions. Cintra benefits regional economies by leveraging local talent and partnerships. With a strategy to attract and develop a skilled workforce, Cintra, in conjunction with Ferrovial Construction, works with impactful local partners to expand existing training to develop new programs for jobs unique to our projects.

Driving Forward by Giving Back

Community engagement can provide significant economic, environmental, and social value to those that receive it. That’s why Cintra and its portfolio target local partnerships and projects to give back to the communities they serve and generate more equitable outcomes in four key areas: STEM education, driver safety and response training, environmental stewardship, and wellbeing initiatives.

Local Efforts in Action

Community engagement can provide significant economic, environmental, and social value to those that receive it.  That’s why we want to be active partners through volunteerism and donation-making.

Our approach targets local partnerships and initiatives that can generate more equitable outcomes in four key areas: STEM education, driver safety and response training, environmental stewardship, and health and wellbeing.  Read about a few of the efforts Cintra’s portfolio has executed:

Charlotte, North Carolina

I-77 Express is a part of the community—not just a business within it.  Check out the ways the team supports their neighbors within the I-77 corridor from Charlotte to Mooresville.

Tolling Assistance Programs

Tolling assistance programs are another solution to ensure Cintra creates value for communities and maximizes the impact on mobility, increasing the social license to operate in the area.

I-77 C.A.R.E.S, was launched by I-77 Mobility Partners to help residents in  Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, who receive food and nutrition assistance through the federal SNAP program, travel more easily along the corridor. The program provides five free trips along the managed lanes each month, improving access to jobs, healthcare and other essential resources.

The benefit of the program significantly exceeds its cost. It has been so successful that it will be compulsory in upcoming express lanes projects to be bid in North Carolina.
