Job Description:
- Responsible for controlling the numbering, filing, sorting and retrieval of electronically stored or hard copy documentation, produced by technical teams in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
- Responsible for the submission of documentation into the client EDMS in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
- Responsible for keeping Document Control trackers and MIDPs up to date. (Master Information Delivery Plans)
- Provide EDMS support for projects and departments. (Electronic Document Management System)
- Provide QA (Quality Assurance) document checking.
- Manage the different EDMS (Workflows, access rights, distributions, etc.)
- Assist in preparing and managing documentation internally or by subcontractors.
- Train project personnel in using the system and document control procedures.
Key Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels across Ferrovial and with the Client.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Planner to join our team, based in Birmingham for the HS2 Track project. The Senior Planner role is office-based and will be focused on managing the contract programme, including dealing with client and supporting the commercial team. The role demands leadership skills and initiative to proactively produce and maintain a realistic programme coordinating with our construction and design teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project contractual programme, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and overall project objectives.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, commercial leads, project controls, filed engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project data, assess progress, and identify potential risks or delays.
- Conduct regular schedule reviews and updates, providing accurate progress reporting and highlighting critical path activities.
- Prepare and submit contract program deliverable, including its narrative and other back-up documents.
- Coordinate with project controls to track and report on project performance using earned value management and other relevant metrics.
- Support the change management process, including the assessment of schedule impacts from changes and variations.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide Lead Author/Bid Writing services on forthcoming PQQs and Tenders (subject to timely client release of documents).
- Ensure responses are produced to a high standard and quality, taking into account the full question is being answered and the scoring criteria followed and applied.
- Ensure effective engagement with subject matter experts (SME) in relation to gathering response information/evidence and ensuring adherence to deadlines (internal and client).
- Ensure the full suite of client documents associated with the PQQ/Tender have been read and understood.
- Ensure content provided by SMEs is appropriately challenged and escalated to the appropriate person within the bid team if the SME is under delivering.
- Ensure the responses produced are optimised to score the highest marks possible.

Position Summary
- Work as a key technical expert, providing estimates to the design and construction teams for Ireland bids.
- Support Ferrovial Construction’s Irish bids pipeline portfolio of projects ensuring effective management across multiple initiatives and client-interfaces.
- Take full responsibility for construction activities, including input into head contracts, subcontracts, procurement, budgeting, cost control, delivery, and project cash flows for tenders in Ireland.

- Efficiently manage subcontractors and directly hired trades labour.
- Coordinate all project construction resources including trades personnel, plant and equipment, subcontractors, suppliers and service providers.
- Ensure plant and equipment is maintained in a safe functional condition and that priorities for repairs and maintenance is scheduled to synchronise with the construction schedule and port permissions.
- Liaise with Client and operational groups on associated site works.

Position Summary
Tender Phase
- Establish the internal project bid process with the Tendering and Commercial team, ensuring that Operations and project delivery team interface is established.
- Manage any (internal) joint venture operating protocols and processes to create communication, collaboration and information flow efficiencies.
- Leading and managing the full bid lifecycle, from win strategy and scheduling through to production and submission with peers. This includes taking a critical and primary role in client-facing initiatives.
- Drive consistency, compliance, and quality across the TDRA tender.
- Mentor other team members, peers and stakeholders by sharing best practice to lift performance across the tender function.
- Analyze bid outcomes from previous tenders and provide insight and recommendations that improve processes and success rates.
- Develop the winning strategy for the tender opportunity.

- International project management experience in hydraulics, water treatment or infrastructure preferred.

We are looking for a Senior HSW Advisor to join the HS2 Edgcote (OX17 2HL) and T2G project (NN13 5JE) team.
We are delivering a 3 x Viaducts along the new HS2 route situated in the Brackley and Banbury area. The works will consist of civils (Under and above ground structures), with heavy lifting, plant interface, working at height, temporary works and working in a flood plain being the key hazards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing your project with a direct report into the HSW Manager in regards to Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW).
- Provide competent health and safety advice and support to your allocated project.
- Develop a close working relationship with the Projects client, supply chain and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication between all parties on HSW matters.
- To promote FC Civils Solutions “Always Safe and Always Ready’ company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contacts

The project
Ferrovial Construction has been working at Heathrow Airport for over 10 years delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects to high quality, safety and environmental standards. We have focused on design and build projects with a mix of contractual arrangements. This has enabled us to refine our management procedures in response to Heathrow’s Employers Requirements and Ferrovial Construction own internal management systems.
Since joining Heathrow’s framework in 2014, Ferrovial Construction has delivered a variety of airside and landside projects across the whole airport. For example, we have delivered new taxiways and rehabilitated existing taxiways and the southern runway. We have also redeveloped sterile and grass areas and replaced critical assets, such as fire main, fuel main and HV ducts. We are currently working alongside Heathrow to rehabilitate assets with expired design life’s and plan for a future runway resurfacing project. We are constantly designing and planning our works around critical assets and engaging with different key stakeholders in order to deliver Heathrow value for money.
The Role
Reporting to one of the Senior Project managers, to coordinate temporary works across all of the areas of operations, to ensure safety and compliance in all of the projects being delivered on site.
Responsibilities:
- Has overall responsibility for TW coordination for the project or the specific area appointed to.
- Responsible for providing and receiving information from all other TWC’s on the project.
- Responsible for ensuring the TW design is implemented in accordance with the relevant construction issue drawings and specification.
- The PTWC shall recognise that the role of TWC overrides other responsibilities they may have.
- To raise with PM any commercial pressures or other issues not resolvable at site level.
- To ensure that adequate checks have been completed to confirm the proposed temporary works have no adverse effect on the permanent works.
- Has authority to carry out their tasks including authority to stop the work if it is not being carried out satisfactorily.
- Is responsible for ensuring the provision of formal permission to load or progress beyond the hold point.
- Responsible for implementing the project temporary works procedures on site as well as co-ordinate other contractor procedures and checking they are being implemented.
- Ensure that a temporary works register (Main register) is established and maintained using OH&S(UK&IRE)-CF-01-05 Temporary Works Register or similar.
- Where Contractor TWC’s maintain their own temporary works register that a copy is supplied to the PTWC for review and inclusion within the Main Temporary Works Register.
- Point of contact for the provision and receiving of relevant information from the client, principal designer, temporary works and permanent works designer, the site team and any TWC, where appointed, for all temporary works matters.
- Ensure that a design brief is prepared with consultation within the project team in accordance with BS5975 using OH&S(UK&IRE)-CF-01-07 Temporary Works Design Brief Template or similar, and that it is both adequate and in accordance with the actual situation on site.
- Ensure that any other temporary works in the vicinity are referenced in the design brief.
- Ensure that any residual risks, identified at the design stage, assumed methods of constructions or loading constraints identified by the Permanent Works Designer (PWD) are included in the design brief.
- Ensure that the design brief is issued to the TWD for a satisfactory temporary works design to be carried out.
- Ensure that a design check is carried out by someone who was not involved in the original design.
- Where appropriate, ensure that information on the certified temporary works design is made available to other interested parties, e.g. the principal designer and/or the designer of the permanent works.
- Register or record the drawings, calculations and other relevant documents relating to the final design.
- Ensure that he relevant client and /or third-party approvals, required by the contract, have been received.
- Ensure on-site supervision receive all the details of the design, any residual risks, including any limitations and guidance notes associated with it and ensure that a specific method statement is prepared.
- Ensure that an inspection and test plan is prepared, along with an appropriate quality control check list(s), based on the temporary works design output, is used to verify that the temporary works have been constructed in accordance with the certified design.
- Ensure that any proposed changes in materials or construction are checked against the original design and appropriate action taken.
- Ensure that checks, inspections and tests are made at appropriate stages.
- Advise the designer of any changes or modifications to the scheme or differences from the envisaged conditions.
- In the event that any inspections undertaken reveal discrepancies between the certified and constructed temporary works, prevent loading (or unloading) until the discrepancies have been rectified to their satisfaction.
- Ensure a permit to load or proceed (bring into use) is issued after a final check, which is satisfactory. Where necessary, ensure that loadings from TWs which may affect the permanent works are accepted by the Permanent Works Designers.
- Ensure that all certificates/TW Permits are uniquely numbered via template OH&S(UK&IRE)-CF-01-02 Temporary Works Permit or similar.
- Ensure that during use of the temporary works all appropriate maintenance is carried out.
- Ensure a permit to unload or proceed (take out of use) the temporary works is issued, when it has been confirmed that the permanent structure has attained adequate strength and/or stability via OH&S(UK&IRE)-CF-01-02 Temporary Works Permit or similar.
- Ensure that a documented safe system of work is in place and implemented for the dismantling of any temporary works.
- Ensure that any relevant information for the health and safety file is transmitted to the principal designer.
- Shall review all contractors’ procedures for the management of temporary works, either accepting or rejecting them.
Minimum Qualifications Needed for Role
- Possessing a valid CSCS card (Supervisor or higher) and SSSTS or SMSTS certification (Site Supervisor/Manager Safety Training Scheme).

The Ferrovial BAM Joint Venture (FBJV) has a successful history of delivering critical infrastructure for the UK on time and to budget together in joint venture partnership. They first worked together in 2010 as BFK, delivering three Crossrail contracts, including the longest stretch of tunnelling works between Royal Oak and Farringdon and Farringdon Station, the first central station to be completed on the Elizabeth Line. The team is also delivering the Silvertown Tunnel project together in East London and has been delivering excellence at each stage of HS2, such as Fusion JV for the Enabling Works packages, EKFB for the central Main Works Contract and now delivering the track infrastructure across the entire HS2 route.
We are seeking an experienced Works Manager with a strong background in track installation in major projects in the UK to join our team responsible for the safe and timely execution of the works on site.
During the initial phase, prior to the commencement of site works, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the design is developed with a focus on constructability and efficient delivery as Track Specialist Design Manager. Reporting to the Engineering Leadership, you’ll play a key role working closely with the Design and Delivery Teams, external design partners and Alliance members to develop and manage the design for Temporary Railheads, Resilient Track and Switches & Crossings (S&C). The role will be based either in either our London or Birmingham offices, and will require to attend weekly meetings with the broader team and/or client in Birmingham/London
Your mission
You will be responsible for the following:
Establish and promote best practice in health, safety, sustainability, cost, time, buildability and appropriate quality matters.
Manage the design process to ensure that the design solution developed for each element of the track is safe, efficient to build, compliant with the contract Specification and delivered to schedule within budget.
Promote use of engineering expertise and modern methods of construction to add value to design development.
Implement 3D design delivery strategy to inform and deliver the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) requirements.
Input into internal, client & external engineering workshops & steering groups.

Job Description:
Location: UK
Key responsibilities
Duties will include:
- Comply with company policies and procedures, such as method statements, risk assessments and briefings to set a personal example in health, safety, quality and environmental matters
- Support the Agent as required in operating the cost management system and the production of programmes
- To manage, supervise and mentor site engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and generation of appropriate records.
- Communicate with commercial staff to ensure all records for measurement and payment purposes are prepared promptly and in appropriate form.
- Liaise with the Agent to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary work design schemes
- Advise Agent of any potential commercial or contractual liabilities
- To manage the ordering process and supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of required materials
- To manage subcontractors to ensure delivery of the required service and to comply with company policies
- To promote company values in all dealing with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contacts.
- To ensure daily activity briefings are prepared and delivered, and to complete a diary on a regular basis with relevant information
Key skills and experience
- Successful experience at section engineering level (on site) including civil and services
- Demonstrated application of growing commercial and contractual knowledge
- Experience of working in a cost-conscious environment
- Good people management experience
- Experience in managing subcontractors
- CSCS card
- Flexibility
Desirable skills
- Infrastructure /Construction experience
- Experience in stakeholder’s management
- Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or equivalent
