About H7, Heathrow

Ferrovial Construction has been working at Heathrow Airport for over 10 years delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects to high quality, safety and environmental standards.

Since joining Heathrow’s framework in 2014, Ferrovial Construction has delivered a variety of airside and landside projects across the whole airport. For example, we have delivered new taxiways and rehabilitated existing taxiways and the southern runway. We have also redeveloped sterile and grass areas and replaced critical assets, such as fire main, fuel main and HV ducts. We are currently working alongside Heathrow to rehabilitate assets with expired design life’s and plan for a future runway resurfacing project.

We are constantly designing and planning our works around critical assets and engaging with different key stakeholders in order to deliver Heathrow value for money.

Our H7 framework spans from airfield works (taxiways, runways, stands), to civils (roads, demolition works, underground and above ground structures), and MEP packages (services tunnels, lifts, life safety systems, fuel/fire mains).

 

Assisting the Area/Senior Quantity Suveryor and working as part of an integrated project team. To deliver a successful commercial outcome to the projects(s) with which you are associated.
The tasks to be carried out will be of a mixture of supporting nature and independently leading, and will be carried out periodically, but will require working to regular deadlines:

• Input in to Cost / Value reconciliations.
• Bottom Up and End Life Cost Reporting.
• Prepare and agree interim valuations / final valuations / final accounts / sub-contract final accounts
• Prepare and issue certification / payment of sub-contractors
• Contractual administration including early warning and compensation event process.
• Dispute management.
• Cost Monitiring & Reporting
• To ensure effective integration and collaboration with project management teams.
• Regular site visits to ensure that site records are maintained and that all risks and opportunities are identified and managed
• Commercial relationships with subcontractors balancing the delivery of quality services with achieving best value for the business
• Drafting & issuance of subcontract scope and packages.
• Drafting and submitting Applications for Payment to Client
• Regular engagement with Client team.

To have an awareness and understanding of the importance of the following Technical Competencies required including:
• Understanding & working knowledge of the NEC form of Contract

Job Description:

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Regional HSEQ Manager, the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Coordinator will assist in maintaining the company's health and safety systems in order to meet company and legislative compliance. This includes but is not limited to assisting with documenting training and assisiting with WSIB case management.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, organize, manage, maintain, and administer the Health and Safety Program in collaboration with Health and Safety department
  • Relay required safety information to all staff
  • Identify safety training requirements, make recommendations to Safety Committees, and schedule the training as approved and required
  • Conduct safety training within the scope of his/her experience and certification
  • Complete internal audits as required
  • Assist with hazard assessments
  • Coordinate regarding requirements for achieving COR Certification
  • Maintain the WHMIS program, including current SOS and staff training
  • Contribute positively to creating a safe and secure environment to support student learning

Finance Apprenticeship

Ferrovial Construction is the engineering and construction arm of the Ferrovial Group. The role

Finance Apprenticeship will work as part of the finance team in our Head Office. You will report to the Finance Manager and provide quality accounts payable services to the supply chain. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the company’s debts to suppliers and creditors are paid accurately. The job role is connected to the Level 3 (AAT) Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship and full training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing accounting services for materials.
  • Processing of allocated accounts payable transactions in an efficient and timely manner ensuring that the service level agreement(s) (targets and deadlines) are being met
  • Ensuring that all invoices have the correct authorisation and relevant coding specification for the project. If required, amend invoices to ensure we adhere to vendors trading terms.
  • Processing weekly payments on their allocated days and ensuring online banking is authorised before deadline
  • Ensuring that all accounts payable documents and records are identified, indexed, filed and retained in accordance with the relevant filing system and statutory requirements
  • Check to ensure that all tax invoices have the correct tax details before inputting into system.
  • Resolve queries in an efficient and timely manner for both our internal and external customers in accordance with our service level agreement(s)
  • Check monthly vendor statements on a regular basis and follow up any entries that are overdue
  • File on a weekly basis
  • Assist the Finance Manager and team members with any ad hoc duties.

  • Qualifications:

    5 GCSEs grade 4-9, including Maths and English

    Level 3 (AAT) Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship

    Duration: 2 years Apprenticeship Programme

    Hours: 40.5 hours per week
