Summary 

Responsible for managing the day-to-day field operations to ensure the standards of the contract are met in a cost-effective, safe and efficient manner.  The Project Superintendent holds overall responsibility for operations and maintenance of the project. Verifies work, interprets the contract, and gives direction and advice on schedules and subcontractor work to the Zone Superintendents. The Project Superintendent works in collaboration with the Project Manager to coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of a services plan consistent with the identified needs of the client and the contract. 

Responsibilities 

  •   Manages his or her Zone Superintendents to ensure completion of condition assessment of pavements, signs, guardrails, bridges, vegetation, tunnels, and other contract requirements. 

  •  Directs and advises their Zone Supers. To determine the best approach (self-performance or subcontract) for bringing assets into contract compliance considering cost, timeliness, and efficiency. Sources and qualifies new subcontractors. 

  • Monitors operational and financial performance, conducts operational and financial analysis, and prepares performance information and recommendations for incorporation into the periodic reports to management. 

  • Serves as technical advisor to their Zone Supers and Sub Contractors. 

  • Reviews work schedules received from Zone Supers checking budgets, timelines and safe operations once approved briefs PM. on scheduled work. 

  • Inspects in-process and reviews completed work  with QC. to ensure compliance with contract requirements. 

  • Acts as a communication link between the Project Manager and operations personnel. 

  • Ensures direct reports are actively supervising, scheduling, and evaluating personnel. Coach direct reports on management techniques. 

  • Obtains, inspects, and controls fleet (maintenance, fuel cards, etc.). Manage, monitor, and controls project assets and materials. 

  • Responsible for proper work reporting, timesheets, budgeting, and other systems. Prepares reports and correspondence as necessary.  Ensures data in the MMIS is accurate. 

  • Reviews and works with the Admin. on customer service logs and ensures correct and timely resolutions. 

  • Safety comes first!  Required to complete work in a safe, efficient and accurate manner. 

  • Other duties (not listed) may be assigned to this job at any time. 

 

Qualifications 

  • The Project Superintendent is expected to have 3-5 years of skilled trade/engineering experience including knowledge of roadway, structure, and bridge construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications The Project Superintendent should also have at a minimum 1 yr. of successfully leading and managing people. 

  • The Project Superintendent holds overall responsibility for operations and maintenance of the project. Verifies work, interprets the contract, and gives direction on schedules and subcontractor work. The Project Superintendent needs to have complete knowledge of the contract and the programs that drive the project (MRP). 

  • Working knowledge of state and federal safety, environment, and EEO/DBE guidelines and regulations 

  • Working skill in operating computer equipment, software programs, and field inspection equipment 

  • Ability to provide technical supervision and leadership to other staff 

  • Read and interpret roadway, bridge, and structure plans and contract specifications 

  • Maintain detailed records 

  • Communicate effectively with agency and contractor personnel and the general public. 

  • Be an ambassador in implementing policies and procedures. 

  • Ability to obtain Advanced DOT (or MOT if in Canada) Certification 

  • Operation of heavy equipment as needed 

  • Valid Driver’s license with good driving record (Required) 

Work Conditions/Physical Demands  

  • The employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time and occasionally stand and/or walk for short periods of time. Use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms.  Vision abilities include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.      

  • Must practice safe work methods to remain accident and injury free must have the ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident.

What You Will Do: 

  • Point of contact to answer, route incoming calls, and take messages

  • Greet visitors and assist in arranging workspace, as necessary

  • Event planning – birthday celebrations, monthly team building, as needed 

  • Serves as a liaison with the internal staff at all levels 

  • Coordinate access with building property owner for employees and contractors

Who You Are: A Profile of Success 

  • 3+ Years proven experience as a Receptionist, or Administrative Assistant 

  • Must have flexibility to work hours outside normal hours as needed for special events/meetings 

  • Proficiency with office / reception administrative systems and procedures, including latest technology in reception/visitor/office management systems 

  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook, in particular) 

  • Hands on experience with front office equipment (e.g., phone systems, fax machines, printers, computers) 

  • Experience assisting leaders with expense reports

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills 

  • Excellent time management, as well as written and verbal communication skills 

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

Desde Ferrovial Construcción, precisamos incorporar un Técnico de Instalaciones Mecánicas con experiencia para unirse a nuestro equipo en Valladolid. La persona seleccionada será responsable de la ejecución, mantenimiento y supervisión de sistemas mecánicos en diversos proyectos de construcción, asegurando su correcto funcionamiento y la calidad de las instalaciones.

Funciones:

– Realizar la instalación, montaje y puesta en marcha de sistemas mecánicos (HVAC, fontanería, saneamiento, protección contra incendios, etc.) en obras industriales.
– Llevar a cabo el mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo de las instalaciones mecánicas, diagnosticando averías y ejecutando las reparaciones necesarias.
– Supervisar y coordinar los trabajos de subcontratistas en lo referente a las instalaciones mecánicas, asegurando el cumplimiento de plazos y estándares de calidad.
– Interpretar planos, esquemas y especificaciones técnicas para la correcta ejecución de los proyectos.
– Colaborar en la elaboración de informes técnicos y documentación de obra relacionada con las instalaciones.
– Asegurar el cumplimiento de las normativas de seguridad y salud en el trabajo en todas las actividades realizadas.
– Gestionar y controlar el inventario de materiales y herramientas necesarias para las instalaciones mecánicas.

Requisitos:

– Estudios de ingeniería Mecánica o similar. Valorable máster en disciplinas industriales.
– Experiencia mínima de 3 años en funciones similares, preferiblemente en el sector de la construcción o mantenimiento de edificios/infraestructuras.
– Experiencia previa en desarrollo de proyectos de instalaciones (HVAC, PCI, BT y MT) y obras industriales
– Conocimientos y manejo de aplicaciones, diseño y gestión BIM (Revit, Navisworks…)
– Conocimientos y manejo aplicaciones de cálculo y simulación
– Capacidad de liderazgo, gestión de equipos y resolución de problemas
– Carnet de conducir y disponibilidad para viajar

– Conocimientos teóricos y normativos para cálculo, optimización y diseño de instalaciones.

Your Role: Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovation 

The Scheduler will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the schedules of solar energy construction projects to ensure timely completion. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of construction processes and timelines. 

 

 

What You Will Do: 

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for solar energy construction projects. 

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for schedule creation. 

  • Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly to reflect changes and delays. 

  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts and propose solutions to mitigate risks. 

  • Ensure that all project milestones and deadlines are met. 

  • Communicate schedule updates and changes to all relevant parties. 

  • Prepare regular reports on project status and schedule adherence. 

  • Utilize scheduling software and tools to manage and track project timelines. 

  • Assist in resource allocation and management to optimize project efficiency. 

  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. 

  • Maintain documentation and records related to project schedules 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

 

Who You Are: A Profile of Succes 

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. 

  • Proven experience as a scheduler in construction, preferably in solar energy projects. 

  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). 

  • Experience in renewable energy or solar energy construction projects. 

  • Certification in project management or scheduling (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) 

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, timelines, and best practices. 

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment 

  • This position may require occasional travel to project sites. 

  • Work is primarily conducted in an office setting, with some field visits as necessary

Impulsa la transformación digital mediante la digitalización y estandarización de procesos, la adopción y gestión estratégica de plataformas colaborativas y la integración tecnológica entre áreas. Coordina proyectos transversales, fomenta la mejora continua y asegura que las soluciones digitales se implementen de forma eficiente y alineada con el marco corporativo. Además, proporciona formación, soporte y documentación, colaborando estrechamente con equipos de negocio, IT y obra. 

 

Principales funciones  

  • Impulsar la estandarización de procesos de las distintas áreas de negocio  

  • Definir el marco corporativo de uso de plataformas colaborativas y otras soluciones digitales y promover su adopción.  

  • Coordinar la implementación global de plataformas colaborativas para la digitalización de procesos de negocio  

  • Coordinar iniciativas de mejora continua y transformación digital, asegurando su correcta planificación, ejecución y seguimiento. 

  • Coordinar acciones de formación y comunicación interna 

  • Colaboración transversal con áreas funcionales y técnicas 

  • Colaboración con equipos digitales regionales y de país para implementar nuevos procesos estandarizados  

  • Colaboración con equipos de IT para integrar sistemas y desarrollar nuevas soluciones digitales 

  • Colaboración con equipos de gestión y explotación de datos para hacer un uso más eficiente de la información 

  • Coordinación con equipos de obra para evaluar nuevas soluciones digitales que permitan digitalizar los procesos  

  • Coordinación con proveedores tecnológicos 

  • Analizar los procesos de negocio y operaciones para optimizarlos a través de la tecnología 

  • Desarrollar procedimientos y elaboración de manuales 

  • Evaluar y proponer acciones para reducir la complejidad del mapa de aplicaciones, eliminando redundancias y promoviendo soluciones integradas. 

  • Analizar flujos de información entre plataformas para detectar oportunidades de integración que mejoren la interoperabilidad y reduzcan tareas manuales. 

  • Elaborar documentación técnica con los requerimientos funcionales para nuevos desarrollos e integraciones entre sistemas corporativos  

  • Explorar nuevas tecnologías aplicables a negocio para digitalizar y optimizar los procesos. Proponer pilotos y pruebas de concepto.  

  • Formación y soporte a las distintas áreas de negocio en el uso de plataformas colaborativas para la digitalización de procesos. 

  • Participación en auditorias y cumplimento de normativa 

  • Requisitos:  

    • Título universitario en Arquitectura Técnica, Ingeniería Civil, Arquitectura o similar.  

    • +7 años experiencia 

    • Conocimiento de la compañía y sus procesos 

    • Promueve la cultura de la digitalización. 

    • Orientación a resultados 

    • Habilidades de análisis, atención al detalle y documentación de procesos de negocio 

    • Facilidad para sintetizar ideas y precisión para documentarlas. 

    • Capacidad para comunicar con claridad, liderar iniciativas y equipos de trabajo. 

    • Habilidades para coordinar proyectos de integración entre sistemas y plataformas. 

    • Habilidades para definir los requerimientos funcionales para nuevos desarrollos y/o integraciones.  

    • Experiencia demostrable en proyectos de transformación digital. Se valorará la experiencia de un rol digital en obra.  

    • Conocimiento de herramientas como Excel, Teams, Visio, Microsoft Project, Procore, Goformz. Power Automate, Jira. 

    • Disponibilidad para viajes ocasionales a obras en distintas geografías.  

    • Valorable experiencia internacional
