The Field Engineer is the liaison between the construction site and the office and provides support to the Project Engineer and the Project Superintendent. Ingeniero/a Oficina Técnica

  • El/la Ingeniero/a de Oficina Técnica se integra a un área estratégica y transversal del proyecto, responsable de articular y dar soporte analítico a la obra, conectando las necesidades del terreno con los lineamientos técnicos, económicos y contractuales definidos por Ferrovial Construcción Chile y el mandante. Su foco principal es asegurar la planificación, el control de avance físico, el control de costos/recursos, la gestión contractual y la gestión documental técnica del proyecto.

2) Objetivo del cargo

  • Asegurar de forma sistémica, proactiva y rigurosa que la planificación de obra, el control de costos y el control de avance físico se ejecuten conforme a:
  • Normativa vigente (técnica, laboral, seguridad y medio ambiente),
  • Estándares internos Ferrovial,
  • Requisitos contractuales del mandante,
  • Metas de productividad y calidad del proyecto.

  • Control de costos y recursos (productividad y desviaciones)

  • Mantener documentación técnica ordenada, trazable y disponible: planos aprobados, especificaciones, memorias de cálculo, procedimientos, actas y comunicaciones contractuales, evitando uso de información obsoleta.

4) Funciones generales

  • Planificación: cronograma maestro + programación de corto plazo, integrando suministros, restricciones de diseño, interferencias y condiciones de SST/MA.
  • Seguimiento físico y financiero: monitoreo continuo y reportes periódicos con KPI claros para decisiones oportunas.
  • Apoyo contractual: revisión de bases, alcances, metrados y estados de pago; claridad de compromisos y resguardo de intereses Ferrovial (técnico, laboral, SST).
  • Administración documental: archivo digital/físico con trazabilidad y carga de antecedentes en plataformas del mandante/ERP/repositorios.
  • Reuniones de coordinación: participación activa con obra, mandante, ITO y subcontratos; presentación de avances, desviaciones, riesgos con soporte gráfico (curvas S, tablas, planos).
  • Integración de calidad, seguridad y medio ambiente: incorporar requisitos ISO y normativa en planificación y procedimientos.

  • Control del cronograma maestro y ajuste de secuencias con identificación de ruta crítica.
  • Metrados/cubicaciones/valorizaciones: soporte a estados de pago, órdenes de cambio y reclamos, con respaldo técnico y fotográfico.
  • Revisión y compatibilización de especialidades: lectura crítica de planos (arquitectura, estructuras, instalaciones y sistemas), con apoyo de herramientas digitales/BIM para detectar interferencias tempranas.
  • Soporte técnico en contratos (mandante/subcontratos): respuestas a consultas, antecedentes para modificaciones y reclamaciones, con enfoque objetivo y documentado.
  • Informes para dirección: reportes estructurados sobre avances, desviaciones, riesgos, productividad y oportunidades.

  • Programación en MS Project: modelar y actualizar actividades, analizar ruta crítica e impactos de cambios/retrasos, informando con fundamento.

Summary 

Serve as an inspector or assist in overseeing construction inspection activities for very large and complex projects. Inspects construction methods and workmanship to ensure contractors work is in accordance with plans and specifications. Documents the work; Leads or can lead the work of technical and certified employees. Responsible to the Quality Manager or Project Manager who has full authority for acceptance of all work. Work requires contact with stakeholders, Clients, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors and manufacturers as required to perform the work. Responsibilities 

  • Works on a construction site/s and is in the field with construction crews observing the work for most of the work period 

  • Adheres to and assist in monitoring of site safety policies. 

  • Maintain a safe working relationship with all stakeholders 

  • Preforms or causes to perform, including coordination, the approved quality control process and documentation for the project as assigned. 

  • Documents findings, evaluations and inspections using Company prescribed procedures and software. 

  • Assists with protocols, qualifications, and prescribed validation procedures and documentation. 

  • Performs system verifications on completed systems to assure correct installation per contract design specifications. 

  • Documents, analyzes and reports performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies.

About us:

In 2016, the Commonwealth of Virginia selected a Cintra-led consortium to finance, design, build, operate and maintain the express lanes on Interstate 66 Outside the Beltway. The project will transform this critical Northern Virginia artery to relieve congestion, improve safety and provide more predictable travel times. The project corridor extends approximately 22 miles along Interstate 66 from the Capital Beltway (I-495) to Gainesville (US Route 29). Once completed, the project will include three toll-free general-purpose lanes in each direction and two express lanes in each direction with a state-of-the-art open-road electronic toll collection system. Expanded transit service, park-and-ride lots and interchange enhancements will further improve travel along I-66. The project will also connect several shared use paths to create more multimodal options. As an innovative and efficient public-private partnership, this project will be completed at a $2.5 billion net savings for the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Job Description:

The Operations Engineer is part of the Roadway Operations and Maintenance Department. The individual is required to be competent in data collection and its consequent analysis to obtain efficient and practicable actions for the daily operations of the highway. This individual will report to the Operations Manager and will work closely with the C-suite management, engineers, employees, and external parties (contractors and consultants). He/she eventually will attend meetings with state and local officials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and monitors any operational improvements to be performed on the highway

  • Assists and controls, prepares, and manages any corrective action required to improve asset conditions

  • Assists management in the review and approval of all plans, payments, and change orders for contracts

  • Develops recommendations to address O&M concerns and work with the Operations and Maintenance teams as necessary to achieve resolution of the items

  • Provides technical information and support to other departments within the company to support their activities as they relate to the Operation and Maintenance of the project

  • Assists in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings and calculations, which may include supervising the production of these drawings when applicable for specific project

  • Performs data acquisition and analysis, research alternative design approaches, site conditions and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations, and prepares material for reports and permit applications

  • Prepares business cases to assess the optimum alternative for different operations in the highway

  • Develops ordinary updates or any improvement required in the GIS model for the concession
  • Prepares any training required for the Maintenance Team required to enhance their duties

  • Supervises field project inspections during annual quality inspections, or as needed

  • Ensures full compliance with the CA’s O&M Measurement and Performance Table for the project

Resumen del Puesto**

Buscamos un/a Topógrafo/a de Campo para unirse a nuestro equipo en Madrid. Será responsable de realizar levantamientos topográficos y replanteos en proyectos de construcción, garantizando la precisión y el cumplimiento de los estándares de calidad.

Responsabilidades del Puesto**

* Ejecutar levantamientos topográficos de terrenos, infraestructuras y edificaciones utilizando equipos de topografía avanzados (estación total, GPS, nivel).
* Realizar replanteos en obra de elementos estructurales, cimentaciones, viales y otras infraestructuras, asegurando la correcta ubicación y alineación.
* Interpretar planos, especificaciones técnicas y documentación del proyecto para la ejecución de los trabajos topográficos.
* Procesar y analizar datos topográficos utilizando software especializado (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
* Elaborar informes técnicos y documentación gráfica de los levantamientos y replanteos realizados.
* Colaborar con el equipo de obra, ingenieros y otros profesionales para garantizar la correcta ejecución de los proyectos.
* Asegurar el mantenimiento y la calibración adecuada de los equipos topográficos.
* Cumplir con las normativas de seguridad y salud en el trabajo.

Cualificaciones del Puesto**

* Formación Grado Superior (Técnico Superior, Grado o similar).
* Experiencia demostrable de al menos 2-3 años en trabajos de topografía de campo, preferiblemente en proyectos de construcción de infraestructuras.
* Dominio de equipos topográficos: estación total, GPS, nivel óptico y digital.
* Manejo avanzado de software de topografía y diseño (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
* Capacidad para interpretar planos y especificaciones técnicas.
* Conocimientos de normativa urbanística y de construcción.
* Orientación al detalle, precisión y rigurosidad en el trabajo.
* Capacidad para trabajar en equipo y bajo presión.

The Substation Engineer develops and reviews utility or consultant provided substation drawings, including General Arrangements, Elevations, Cable and Conduit Plans, Grounding Plans, AC/DC Schematics, panel elevations, electrical equipment enclosure plans, wiring diagrams, specifications, and reports to ensure that they are complete, accurate, and in accordance with sound engineering practices and client standards.

The Substation Engineer acts as a technical lead and applies standard engineering techniques and procedures on moderately complex projects. This role supports the full project lifecycle—from conceptual design through commissioning—ensuring compliance with utility standards, industry codes, and project requirements.
