Role Purpose:
Responsible for construction execution from the bidding phase to delivery of a major highway project in the Greater Atlanta area. The position of Quality Control Manager has the overall responsibility of developing, implementing, and managing the quality plan for the project. Ensures sufficient and controlled systems are in place to ensure the integrity of the project plans and operations are executed in a compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities
· Develop, implement, and maintain the Construction Quality Management System for the project including the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP)
· Oversee field Quality Control activities.
· Perform quality reports, audits and oversee QA and QC documentation and test results
· Ensure compliance with contract documents, the QMP and with Federal, State, Local, ISO 9001 and other regulatory laws and standards.
· Maintain and report the quality management system records as required by the project QMP and Company corporate requirements.

Required Profile:

Reporting to the Engineering Director, your key responsibilities will include:
Provides functional leadership and accountability for Tunnel and Geotechnical engineering across Ferrovial Construction UK & Ireland. In doing so, leads best practice for tunneling and geotechnical engineering
UK&I Head Office focal point for all Tunnel and Geotechnical matters, supporting projects from early development and tender stages through design, construction and handover, providing expert input as required
Provides senior technical leadership on complex underground works, including bored and sprayed tunnels, shafts, portals, earthworks, foundations and ground treatment, ensuring designs are safe, buildable, economical and aligned with construction methodologies and risk profiles
Leads and manages the tender design and the engagement and coordination of external designers during major project tender processes with a significant tunneling and underground works component, providing technical leadership, direction and governance across all design disciplines, and ensuring the development of robust, competitive and deliverable tender solutions.
Leads the identification, assessment and management of technical risks and opportunities related to tunneling and geotechnical engineering, working closely with Commercial, Planning and Construction teams
Ensures compliance with UK design standards, CDM Regulations, project-specific Works Information and Ferrovial engineering governance requirements
The role is expected to evolve over time and may transition into a project delivery engineering leadership position where a major project with a predominant tunnelling and underground scope is awarded, subject to business needs and organizational arrangements, entailing:
- Lead and coordinate all engineering and design activities across disciplines to ensure full technical compliance with project and statutory requirements.

Senior Project Manager – Sewage Treatment Works
Reports to: Project Director
Project: Slough – Extension of an operational sewage treatment plant (STW)
Location: First year in Central London, then in Slough.
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in water/wastewater infrastructure to lead the extension of a live sewage treatment works that must maintain full operations throughout construction.
The candidate will own end-to-end delivery (scope, programme, budget, quality, safety, environmental compliance) while ensuring a seamless coordination with Thames Water’s operational team, strict adherence to Thames Water procedures and standards, and effective management of multidisciplinary engineering and delivery teams (civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical/process).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full project lifecycle from project initiation, design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, to handover/closeout.
- Plan and sequence the works to ensure a full coordination with the existing treatment processes, avoiding any unplanned outages, including a meticulously management of the isolations and live interfaces.
- Establish and maintain the Project Execution Plan, programme, cost plan, risk register, and change control in line with client and internal governance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Thames Water and their operational representatives; chair progress, risk, and interface meetings.
- Coordinate permits, isolation plans, and method approvals with the Thames Water operational team to safeguard continuity of service and compliance with permit-to-work systems.
- Manage regulatory, statutory, and third-party stakeholders (e.g., local authorities, EA interfaces, utilities).
- Champion a safety-first culture; ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, RAMS, LOTO, confined space controls, temporary works, lifting operations, and process safety protocols.
- Ensure robust environmental management: pollution prevention, odour control, sludge handling, silt and noise/dust management, and wastewater discharge compliance.
- Oversee quality assurance/quality control, ITPs, and documentation to meet client acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control, and process/chemical engineering inputs; ensure design constructability and operability.
- Oversee integration of M/&E plant, MCCs, SCADA/telemetry, and process tie-ins with live assets, plan staged commissioning and performance testing.
- Own cost performance: forecasting, earned value, change management, early warnings, and contract administration (e.g., NEC forms).
- Lead procurement of subcontractors, OEMs, and long-lead items; manage supplier performance and technical submittals.
- Maintain a realistic, risk-adjusted programme; implement recovery plans as needed.
- Lead commissioning strategy and phased cutovers; ensure robust testing, O&M documentation, training, spares, asset tagging, and clean handover aligned to Thames Water requirements.
- Manage and mentor the project team; allocate resources effectively across planning, engineering, commercial, and site delivery functions.
- Drive high-performance collaboration, clear communications, and proactive issue resolution.
Qualification, skills and experience:
- Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical/Process, or related discipline).
- Experience delivering water/wastewater infrastructure projects (treatment works, networks, or major AMP frameworks).
- Demonstrable experience delivering construction projects on live/operational sewage treatment plants without service interruption.
- In-depth knowledge of Thames Water procedures, standards, and permit-to-work systems (e.g., isolations, method approvals, operational interfaces, documentation and assurance expectations).
- Proven track record managing multidisciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical/process) through design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Strong H&S leadership with excellent command of CDM Regulations, RAMS, temporary works, and process safety in water environments.
- Solid commercial acumen (NEC contract administration, cost control, risk/change management).
- Excellent stakeholder management, written and verbal communication, and meeting leadership skills.
- IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent H&S qualification; Temporary Works Supervisor/Coordinator experience (desirable).
- Confined Space appreciation/awareness; LOTO and electrical isolation familiarity in live MCC/controls environments (desirable).
- Experience with SCADA integration, telemetry, OEM process packages, and staged commissioning on live assets (desirable).

Project description
The £80 million upgrade of Slough Sewage Treatment Works for Thames Water will be carried out by Ferrovial Construction and Cadagua, working together as a joint venture. This project aims to improve the resilience and sustainability of Slough STW, ensuring it meets tougher Environment Agency standards and achieves better environmental performance. Improvements include expanded treatment capacity, advanced systems for removing ammonia and phosphorus, upgraded storm-flow management, and robust new power infrastructure. The partnership combines Ferrovial Construction’s expertise in UK infrastructure projects with Cadagua’s broad experience in international water treatment.

Job Description:
- Lead the environmental technical team across the programme.
- Responsible for ensuring that designs and technical deliverables are provided on time and in collaboration with the wider team, including engineering disciplines.
- Responsible for the programme’s EMR compliance and variation of environmental consents associated with the permanent design.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Salary: $142,750/yr.
The position of Project Manager will be responsible for working across disciplines to ensure departments' assigned tasks are on time and within budget. Review all architectural package drawings and specifications and provide comments about compliance with DBA and NTO requirements in collaboration with Design Department. Review Procurement riders for architectural and building trade bid packages (e.g. Ornamental Metals, Terrazzo, Signage, Masonry, Exterior Carpentry, Stonework and Tiles, Hollow Metals and Doors, Carpet and Flooring, etc.) and ensure compliance with the RPW design requirements and specifications in collaboration with Design and Construction Departments prior to issuance to market. Work with Construction Quality team to assist with re-opening the AirTrain. Review monthly SSPP (“schedule of submittal packages”) in coordination with the Design Department before submission to PANYNJ. Assist safety team in management of information, tracking incidents, insurance meetings, etc.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Four (4) years of experience with large civil infrastructure design-build (“DB”) or design-bid-build (“DBB”) projects valued at $200 million or more with following specific experience: Managing engineering activities related to a DB transportation (highways, bridges, runways, or rail) construction projects. Administering and managing the budget, cost control, and scheduling activities for highway, bridge, road, or runway construction project; Negotiating with suppliers on a large highway, bridge, road, or runway construction project; Using at least two (2) of the following tools: AutoCAD/3D, MicroStation, Bluebeam Revit, Sketch Up, or Microsoft Project to perform 2D and 3D design and drafting on a large infrastructure project; Scheduling software such as P3, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project; Conducting daily field inspections to monitor production processes and Adjust schedules as needed; and coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams which include design and construction engineers, superintendents, and inspectors.

Job Description:
We are now recruiting for a Design Project Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project at the initial design phase which will run concurrently with the completion of main works contracts, which are now at their peak. You will be reporting to the track slab Design Delivery Director. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of high-speed rail slab track projects, requiring strong project management capabilities. The Design Project Manager will be expected to drive collaboration, uphold quality standards, and deliver innovative solutions in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
Your mission
As a Design Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Client on all design-related matters, ensuring clear, timely, and professional communication
- Prepare and deliver regular progress reports and financial updates to the client and other stakeholders
- Facilitate design reviews, technical assurance meetings, and progress meetings to keep the client informed and engaged
- Administer design contracts in accordance with NEC principles, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements
- Work closely with the commercial team to manage contract changes, compensation events, and early warnings, maintaining accurate records and documentation

Tender Phase
- Establish the internal project bid process with the Tendering and Commercial team, ensuring that Operations and project delivery team interface is established.
- Manage any (internal) joint venture operating protocols and processes to create communication, collaboration and information flow efficiencies.
- Leading and managing the full bid lifecycle, from win strategy and scheduling through to production and submission with peers. This includes taking a critical and primary role in client-facing initiatives.

- Develop a best-in-class construction management framework for tendering activity in Ireland, ensuring transparency in time, cost, and profit across bids while focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) and client deliverables.
- Coordinate with the tender design team to ensure that planned and proposed changes are acceptable and in accordance with the client’s specifications.
- Support the pre and post design and construction development phases including the preparation of appropriate technical and engineering resources and subcontractors and materials reviews.
- Support the Bid Project Director in developing the winning strategy for the tender opportunity.
- Support the Bid Project Director in developing and implement integrated project controls system, reporting strategy and communications protocols.
- Support in/monitoring of the implementation of Bidding procedures in the UK & Ireland projects.
- Mentor UKIE bidding team members and manage the project team staff, including setting targets and reviewing performance.
- Coordination with Madrid Bidding Team and JV Partners where applicable.
- Identify complex construction and associated risks / opportunities and assist in resolving any problems.
Post-Award/Handover & Delivery Phase
- Together with the Bid team, identify and contribute to the development and implementation of processes that will improve construction phase efficiency and productivity.
- Manage the project in accordance with the construction management plan.
- Manage the construction team in accordance with Ferrovial’s talent and performance cycles.
- Ensure all H&SE, HR, Finance, Quality and Legal processes and policies are established prior to operations commencement.
- Work with the client and partners to ensure project objectives are actively monitored.
- Prepare and draft accurate reports detailing construction services’ performance and reliability on a regular basis.
- Ensure project works are delivered in accordance with project management plan.
Qualifications / Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, construction management or a related field.
- Extensive experience in an estimation role in Water, Ports or Maritime and/or Tunneling and Rail infrastructure industries.
- Solid exposure to a commercial construction environment with multi-disciplinary technical experience, acquired globally.
- Highly desirable is experience with large-scale complex infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-faceted major construction compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in working within a project-oriented team
- Preparedness to coordinate project and site meetings with tender teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

- Ability to lead client & protect Ferrovial’s interests through varying RIBA stages of a project(s), including identifying scope maturity & risks.
- To have strong awareness of the scope and importance of the following Technical Competencies being required, including:
- Contract administration, including discharge of obligations and data management;
- Planning and programming techniques and processes; and
- Industry technologies and techniques including CDM, SHE standards, Quality Assurance of project controls systems within a major civil engineering project.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling using Primavera P6 and Power BI.
- Excellent knowledge on how to measure civil engineering works.
- Good understanding of NEC contracts.

B) Position-Specific Responsibilities
- Manage the pre-contracts, bid and construction phases in coordination with the Project Director.
- Contribute proactively to the post design requirements and construction activities outlined in the Construction plan.
- Identify and provide advice on risks, project controls solutions and technical support during construction phase.
- Provide regular detailed reports on the project status of the construction teams and activities.
- Oversee all construction activities, tasks and requirements in accordance with specifications, work scopes, drawings, contracts, technical and engineering standards.
- Working in close association with the Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure consistent and collaborative safe project delivery.
- Undertake updates to the project schedule, planning site works around key procurement and delivery dates to achieve schedule dates as set out in management plan.
- Efficiently manage subcontractors and directly hired trades labour.
- Coordinate all project construction resources including trades personnel, plant and equipment, subcontractors, suppliers and service providers.
- Ensure plant and equipment is maintained in a safe functional condition and that priorities for repairs and maintenance is scheduled to synchronise with the construction schedule and port permissions.
- Liaise with Client and operational groups on associated site works.
- Adherence to port site safety regulations and standards.
