Job Description:

Roadway Manager (Multiple Positions), Alamo NEX Construction, LLC, San Antonio, TX. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports. Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner and/or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of related work experience in heavy civil or roadway construction.

Must have experience with/in:

  • Managing engineering activities related to a highway, bridge, road or runway construction project valued at least $200 million;
  • Using at least two (2) of the following tools: AutoCAD/3D, MicroStation, or Project to perform 2 and 3 dimensional design and drafting;
  • Using Primavera 6 CPM scheduling software, or similar project management software;
  • Applying algebra, geometry and construction math concepts to calculate figures and amounts including: discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume;
  • Using Excel to track payments, manage a construction budget and control construction costs;
  • Conducting daily field inspections to monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed; and
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams which include design and construction engineers, superintendents and inspectors.

10% regional travel required.
