Job Description:

The Human Resources Manager serves as business partner locally managing of all human resources systems, policies and practices including but not limited to recruiting and staffing; performance management/improvement processes; employment and compliance to regulatory requirements; development and training; policy development and documentation; employee relations; compensation and benefits administration; and employee safety. The Human Resources Manager will identify issues and make recommendations to improve effectiveness of the department functions in order to positively impact the corporate vision, goals and the overall business strategy. This position will also provide counsel and leadership in human resources decisions and act as a liaison for communication of all HR related topics between Corporate Human Resources at Cintra US and the concession level management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates, responds, and resolves human relations, labor relations, and work-related problems

  • Counsel or coach leaders/employees regarding employee relation issues, including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, discipline, and/or terminations in line with local culture and the business legal environment

  • Provides guidance to Leadership Team on HR related issues to ensure compliance

  • Represents the company for any unemployment claims and EEOC issues, worker’s compensation insurance audits, etc.

  • Manage and direct all Blue-Collar recruitment processes in posting open positions, reviewing applications and conducting interviews to verify that candidate experience matches specific job-related requirements 

  • Provide data on HR related activities to the Executive Team on an as needed basis

  • Ensure all HR policy and procedures are kept up to date and legally compliant

  • Partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations

  • Collaborate with Cintra US to ensure payroll is completed accurately and to deadline

  • Work with Cintra US and brokers to analyze and modify benefits plans to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements

  • Ensure all job descriptions are kept up to date, create new job descriptions when necessary

  • Manage the maintenance of the permanent personnel records to ensure all regulatory requirements are met

  • Lead and develop Human Resources team to provide exemplary service and support to employees

  • Seek out efficient methods and ways in which to improve areas within the scope of HR practices

  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required, higher education is preferred

  • 7-10+ years relevant work experience in human resources with a strong recruiting and employee relations background

  • Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills with the ability to adjust style as needed to develop effective relationships with all levels of leadership, employees and peers

  • Familiarity with state and federal employment laws, guidelines and best practices

  • Human Resources certifications (SPHR/SRHRM-CP) desired

Professional Qualities:

  • Effectively manage tasks and deadlines with independence 

  • Ability to interact with colleagues in a self-managed team structure

  • Must be able to multitask, problem solve, and implement innovative processes within a fast-paced environment

  • Capable of developing technical writing and communications skills

  • Superior organization skills

  • Comfortable and confident interacting with executive level employees on a regular basis

Computer Skills:

  • Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially as to Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point and other PC based programs

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, Human Resource Management Systems (HRIS) and payroll software is required
