ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly experienced Transmission Engineer to join our Transmission & Distribution (T&D) team in Australia. The successful candidate will lead the preparation, coordination and submission of accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of T&D infrastructure projects including overhead lines, substations, underground cable and related civil and electrical works.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of T&D construction, excellent analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement and commercial teams throughout all stages of the tendering process in a multinational company.

* Licencia de Ingeniero/a Profesional (PE) en Puerto Rico, o elegibilidad para obtenerla, es altamente deseable.
* Dominio del español y del inglés (hablado y escrito).
* Sólidas habilidades de gestión de proyectos, incluyendo planificación, organización, resolución de problemas y toma de decisiones.
* Experiencia con software de gestión de proyectos (ej. Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
* Conocimiento de los códigos de construcción locales y regulaciones de seguridad.

– Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily construction activities, including paving, earthworks, drainage, and asphalt.

Project Engineer personnel are responsible for the overall safety, direction, completion, and financial outcome of waterworks construction projects from initial budget through project closeout. 

 

 

What You Will Do: 

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs with the support and direction from a Project Executive or Senior Manager 

  • Estimate, value engineer and develop project budgets with the support and direction from a Project Executive. 

  • Facilitate the subcontractor bid process to include processing, distribution and tracking of all project bidding documentation. 

  • Ability to utilize software programs and templates to process, distribute and track all project documentation 

  • Perform following duties with support and direction from a Project Executive. 

  • Negotiate subcontractor and material buyout; develop and negotiate subcontracts 

  • Manage Submittal and RFI process 

  • Plan and schedule projects 

  • Manage project costs through the ongoing evaluation of labor, material and equipment; continue to forecast and analyze construction costs, exposures and profits through project completion. 

  • Perform project closeout.
