ZITY is an electric carsharing service whose business model is based on renting electric vehicles by the minute in the city of Madrid. The company has a fleet of 658 vehicles covering a 96 km2 area, the largest of all city’s carsharing systems.

ZITY is a joint-venture between Renault Spain and Ferrovial Services. The project combines Ferrovial’s capacities in the area of municipal services and environmentally-friendly solutions with Renault’s experuebce as Europe’s foremost supplier of electric cars and a leading brand in the field of sustainable mobility.
ZITY is an electric carsharing service whose business model is based on renting electric vehicles by the minute in the city of Madrid. Clients manage the entire process using a free app installed in Android and iOS smartphones. The app enables them to reserve a vehicle, open the door, and mark the beginning and end of the trip; they don’t need a key and no deposit is required.
ZITY launched in an initial stage in December 2017 with a fleet of 658 Renault ZOE Z.E 40, the top-selling electric car, with a 300-kilometer range. In addition, ZITY has the largest territory of any carsharing service in Madrid, covering 96km2. The StandBy feautres enables users to park the car temporarily outside the designated territory before resuming their trip.
During the launch stage, between December 2017 and March 2018, ZITY vehicles drove over 1 million kilometers, with an average of 10-12 uses per day. During these first three months, 70,000 users registeresd with the app, raing the service with an average of 4-5 stars.
