Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices
Ferrovial has been part of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class global and European indices for 23 consecutive years. These indices, compiled by the rating agency S&P Global, are considered among the most prestigious in the world in terms of sustainability.
Dow Jones Best-in-Class
Created in 1999, the Dow Jones indices are an international benchmark for recognizing companies that excel in integrating sustainability into their corporate strategy.
To compile the indices, S&P Global applies its proprietary methodology, the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), which evaluates companies based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria.
Each year, more than 13,000 companies are invited to participate in the CSA, although only around 3,500 of the largest companies in the world are eligible to be included in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class indices.
Ferrovial and the DJBiC
In 2024, Ferrovial was recognized for the second consecutive year as the most sustainable company in Europe in the Construction and Engineering sector. Leading the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Index confirms our strength in environmental, social, and economic performance.
Additionally, Ferrovial is included in other prominent sustainability indices such as CDP, ISS ESG, MSCI, FTSE4Good, and Sustainalytics, which reflect the company’s best practices in this area.
