Position Summary 

The incumbent is responsible for maintaining contracted assets (roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, etc.) through operation/use of heavy equipment, particularly during seasonal needs (i.e. snow plow operations), and any other needs per the contract requirements. This position requires a highly developed sense of safety awareness and perceptive ability. You must have the ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident. You must be able to communicate with co-workers safety instructions. You must be able to think clearly and focus on your safety in your immediate surroundings, while using tools and equipment, while driving or operating equipment. You will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to your job.

Field Supervisor/Superintendent

Position Summary
The Field Supervisor identifies, directs and verifies work, interprets the Contract, engages with Client staff, and gives direction on schedules and any required subcontractor work. The Field Supervisor is a critical position to ensure the 
effective operations and maintenance of the network. The Field Supervisor works in collaboration with the Project Team to coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of the maintenance plans and schedules consistent with the identified needs of the client and the contract.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Daily supervision of all technicians, laborers, specialists and subcontractors working in his/her assigned area.
• Ensures that preventative maintenance is being performed on schedule and service calls are responded to and 
completed within the allotted time.
• Identifying areas of the Roads System that are in need of maintenance.
• Coordinating and responding to HCTRA-designated Superintendents.
• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly reporting required by the Project Manager and the contract.
• Surveys and develops material requests for items needed to complete Required maintenance activities.
• Ensures completion of condition assessment of pavements, signs, guardrails, bridges, vegetation, tunnels, and other 
contract requirements. 
• Continual challenging and determination of optimum delivery approach (self-performance or subcontract) for 
ensuring assets are maintained within contract compliance considering cost, timeliness, and efficiency. If needed, 
this role will source and qualify new subcontractors.
• Monitors operational and financial performance, conducts operational and financial analysis, and prepares 
performance information and recommendations for incorporation into the periodic reports to management.
• Serves as technical advisor to work crews. 
• Works with Project Manager and Project Planner to schedule work to be performed. 
• Inspects in-process and completed work to ensure compliance with contract requirements. 
• Acts as a communication link between the Contract Management Team and operations personnel.
• Responsible for proper work reporting, timesheets, budgeting, and other systems. Prepares reports and 
correspondence as necessary. Ensures data in the CMMS is accurate.

Quality System Responsibilities:
• Assists the Project Team in the development of work plan procedures.
• Reviews Subcontractor’s inspection program and inspection reports, as applicable

Job Description:

The Roadway Maintenance Technician operates automotive and maintenance equipment to transport material, equipment and maintenance personnel as well as performing skilled highway maintenance duties.  Also, participates in the maintenance of buildings. Works with maintenance personnel receives assignments from the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager, and on occasions supervises personnel on various job assignments.  You will guide and/or train less experienced personnel on equipment operation and roadway maintenance.

Position Summary

Responsible for maintenance and repairs of tunnel assets including electrical/mechanical equipment, tunnel portals, equipment rooms, ventilation systems, drainage systems, tunnel fire extinguishers, tunnel and equipment room lighting, electronic display signs, emergency telephones, closed circuit TV cameras, and lane signals within the tunnels and roadways covered by the project.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Provides basic maintenance and repair of tunnels, buildings, company vehicles, emergency response equipment, electrical/mechanical equipment, ventilation systems, lighting, emergency telephones, CCTV systems, doors, and other items using hand tools or powered equipment (pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric).

· Painting and restoration of the staging area light poles, curbs, sidewalks, and other designated areas.

· Maintain clean appearance of facility through cleaning and litter/debris removal and disposal.

· Must be comfortable working from heights in a bucket truck or using ladders.

· Keeps roadways free of debris, including ice and snow using snow removal equipment.

· Transports crew and equipment to work sites operating large trucks.

· Carry out all duties in line with Company policies and procedures as amended from time to time.

· Creates safe maintenance of traffic (MOT) by setting up and removing traffic control devices, including cones, temporary signage, etc.

· Assist in and maintain an organized traffic flow in the Bear Valley and Whittier Staging Areas by providing motorists with directions on positioning their vehicles; occasionally reviews all special permits for vehicle travel; assists motorists in the Whittier Staging Area with questions and information related to tunnel rules and regulations.

· Positively contributes to a diverse, inclusive, and fair work environment free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment.

· Act effectively as a first responder during emergencies and stressful situations. During an emergency, specific duties shall be designated by the Tunnel Operator or Supervisor.

· All other duties as assigned.

· Ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury, or accident.

· Firefighter 1 certification or above preferred; otherwise, must obtain Firefighter 1 certification when the next class is held.

· A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required to drive a company vehicle.
