Manages the whole transition from land acquisition and engagement process with future clients as the starting point to ensure and facilitate a smooth and seamless hand over to the business unit´s Design & Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish an orderly and digital process for the project hand over to the Design & Construction team incl. definition, implementation and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Set up the foundations of the digital construction process.
- Provide qualified input to inform and update the CAPEX and associated cash flows.
- Asset management baseline set up and digital process implementation to ensure life cycle monitoring throughout.
- Establish the standards to achieve with regards to H&S, Sustainability and Quality Plans.
- Promote safety, sustainability, and energy-efficient design solutions
- During early stages of the design development phase, plan and coordinate construction activities at high level, forecasting labour requirements and allocating key supply chain and sister companies.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration
- Collaborate with the Strategy and Business Development team to assess the feasibility and viability of potential land acquisitions and provide strategic recommendations to support decision-making.
- Assist the Strategy and Business Development team with client relationships and commercial aspects of the contract under negotiation.
- Utilities supply process coordination to facilitate transition from early stages to ready to build and execution paying special attention to power supply.
- Risk and opportunities management and monitoring to inform both the design as well as utilities supply processes accordingly.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in Bidding / Delivery for construction projects.
- Excellent knowledge of H&S and Quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Cost management and planning skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Building Construction or related field is ideal.
- Previous experience in the construction sector and specifically in data center projects and / or large tertiary & industrial construction projects where MEP systems play a vital role will be highly valued.
- Experience in bidding / tender processes for Design & Build construction projects including transitions to construction phase.
- Strong understanding building regulations, zoning ordinances / urban planning conditions, sustainability and environmental regulations, and permitting processes incl. associated timescales.
- Office 365 package expertise (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
- Lean Construction knowledge and experience will be valued.
