Ferrovial Construction is seeking talented civil engineering students to conduct their cooperative education experience from one of its affiliated projects in the United States. Ferrovial Construction will provide engineering students practical experience that will aid in progressing their careers in Engineering and Construction Management. • Perform quantity take-offs.
• Perform cost estimates.
• Prepare Labor schedules.

• Recommend solutions to design changes throughout the construction process.
• Manage subcontractors’ scope of work respective to various contracts. Minimum Requirements:
• Tracking to earn Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar related field, obtained from an accredited U.S. college or university.
• Demonstrated qualities of leadership and hard work.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess strong attention to detail and can work in a fast-paced environment; an eagerness to learn and apply your engineering skills to develop creative problem-solving designs/ideas.
• Strong commitment to high standards, integrity, and ethics.

Compensation: $20-25 per hour

About us:

North Tarrant Infrastructure, LLC is one of the subsidiaries of the Ferrovial Group in the U.S. It is currently working on several projects in the U.S., including the North Tarrant Express (NTE) Projects (“NTE Projects”). The NTE Extension Project is a part of the NTE Projects, which consist of a series of major highway improvements to the critical I-820 and SH-121/183 corridor in North Tarrant County, Texas. The NTE Projects will relieve congestion, improve safety, and provide for anticipated traffic growth in one of the country’s fastest developing regions. The NTE First Project was a $1.451 billion design-build project consisting of rebuilding the existing main lanes as well as adding four toll-managed lanes, frontage roads and auxiliary lanes in the corridor between I-35 West and Industrial Boulevard. The NTE Extension Project is the next part of the NTE Projects. The construction of the original $984 million part of the project (Segment 3A) was completed by North Tarrant Infrastructure, LLC, and the current $580.5 million part (Segment 3C) of the NTE Extension Project is presently being carried out by North Tarrant Infrastructure, LLC.

Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is a part of the Ferrovial Group in Texas. In 2021, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) selected Alamo NEX Construction, LLC, a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction Texas, LLC and DBW, LLC (both Ferrovial Group subsidiaries), to complete the Interstate 35 (I-35) NEX Central Project. This project is a $1.5 billion Texas Design-Build (DB) project through the cities of San Antonio, Live Oak, Selma, and Schertz that will consist of non-tolled improvements along I-35, I-140, and Loop 1604. The proposed improvements will include the addition of elevated managed lanes to I-35, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/I-410 North interchange, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/Loop 1604 interchange, and widening of Loop 1604 in Bexar and Guadalupe Counties.

    This is a three-to-four-month assignment where you will assist a Project Team with the management, field construction activities and documentation of a project.

    Job Duties

  • Communicate with Foremen and Superintendent to learn about field construction operations and to provide support.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, & the local community.
  • Assist with the Project Environmental, Health, Safety requirements.
  • Assist the Project Engineer with approving timecards in Procore. Ensure all equipment and employees are accounted for on timecards.

  • Assist with verifying quantities in FIS (Field Information Systems) and log quantities for cost and revenue tracking.
  • Assist the Project Engineer with generating and distributing daily cost reports (trucking, labor, equipment) to the Project Manager, Foreman & Superintendent.
  • Assist with the completion of daily reports documenting both Granite Construction and Subcontractor activities.
  • Place necessary material orders, survey requests, locates, etc.
  • Maintain a to-do list and diary.
  • Assist with the calculations of yields of materials used such as concrete, aggregate base & asphalt.
  • Tour jobsite daily with the Project Manager or Engineer to verify quantities claimed are correct and to stay current on overall job progress.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

FUNCIONES:

-Análisis integral de proyectos de Data Centers, desde un punto de vista arquitéctónico: adecuación a la normativa urbanística, cumplimiento normativo y cumplimiento del programa, requerimientos del pliego referencial.

-Detección de errores, incongruencias, omisiones y carencias del Data Centers.

-Realización y revisión de mediciones.

-Optimización de los sistemas y materiales definidos en el Proyecto del DC, aportando mejoras en coste/plazo/procesos constructivos.

-Seguimiento de la evolución de las diferentes fases del desarrollo del proyecto, con el estudio de arquitectura o ingeniería que desarrolle el proyecto.

-Integración y coordinación de la Arquitectura, con el resto de disciplinas involucradas en el Proyecto: cimentación, estructura, instalaciones MEP y especialmente IT (modelo integrado)

-Seguimiento de la ejecución del proyecto en obra y resolución de incidencias que pudieran detectarse al construirse.

REQUISITOS:

-Formación: Arquitecto Superior o Ingeniero de la Edificación.

-Programas: paquete Autodesk (Autocad, Navi, Revit) + Presupuesto (Presto)

-Idiomas: Inglés nivel B2 (preferible C1)

-Movilidad geográfica nacional e internacional

DURACIÓN:

6 meses mínimo (nuestro planteamiento es poder darle continuidad indefinida, dentro de los Proyectos/Obras de DC que vayan adjudicándose en esta línea de negocio)
