Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Area Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of contracted assets (roadways, vegetation, etc.) as directed by the Area Supervisor.
We offer competitive pay and other seasonal benefits. The pay range for this position is $23–$25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Removal of snow and ice by using snow removal equipment

Assist with loading and unloading of winter materials

Maintain highway and other surfaces by removal of litter and debris

Operate vehicles and equipment as required: for surface and right-of-way maintenance to control vegetation appearance and growth.

May assist with traffic control setup and removal

Transport crew and equipment to work sites

Required to be available for emergency response as needed for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Position Summary
Responsible for removal of litter & debris, and the maintenance, servicing and repairs of roads and other infrastructure assets. This individual will be responsible for maintaining contracted assets (such as roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, litter removal, drainage, etc.) per standards in the contract and as directed by supervisor.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control by setup and removal of traffic control devices including cones, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, etc.
- Transports crew and equipment to work sites operating vehicle large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
- Positively contribute to a diverse, inclusive and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying and harassment.
- Carry out all duties in line with Company policies and procedures as amended from time to time.
- Removal of all road debris and litter which has accumulated or has been dumped onto roadway surface and shoulder or washes onto water’s edge.
- Removal of debris and litter around facilities, buildings, docks, vessel landings, mooring berths, jetties, loading ramp areas, and parking areas,
- Removal of shopping carts and other foreign objects off client property,
- Removal of debris and litter around stockpile locations,
- Removal of accumulated or foreign stockpiles dumped on client system,
- Removal of dead animals in and around the toll roads and facilities (Do not remove dead animals larger than 150 pounds or hazardous material, instead notify client for removal),
- Removal of illegal signs or structures that were not erected or authorized by client.
- Removal of hazard/incident roadway debris,
- Removal of debris and litter due to high tide and winds at contract locations.
- Removal of roadway debris (including sand/dirt) that has collected in CCAs and ramp gore areas.
- Keep roadways free of debris
- All other duties as assigned.

Job Description:
The Roadway Maintenance Technician operates automotive and maintenance equipment to transport material, equipment and maintenance personnel as well as performing skilled highway maintenance duties. Also, participates in the maintenance of buildings. Works with maintenance personnel receives assignments from the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager, and on occasions supervises personnel on various job assignments. You will guide and/or train less experienced personnel on equipment operation and roadway maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operates equipment such as tractors, mowers, sweepers, bucket trucks, Truck Mounted Attenuators (TMA’s) and Snowplows.

Operate assigned gas or hand tools to complete Daily Assignments

Overview
Operate a truck and drive to projects throughout Houston for the repair, service, and maintenance of heavy construction equipment in the field environment. This will include basic repair knowledge and troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and engine components.
Regular Job Duties
- Operate a truck and drive to projects to perform maintenance and repair work on heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, track hoes, and related heavy highway construction equipment
- Perform a variety of skilled duties which may involve inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on general heavy construction equipment and heavy trucks
- Weld equipment for repairs
- Operate crane for maintenance and repair work
- Read, understand, and fill out service-related documents and paperwork in a timely manner
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to ensure maintenance activities on performed in a timely manner
- Clean work vehicle and work area as necessary to maintain a safe work environment
- Use familiar knowledge of the construction industry including experience operating and repairing heavy equipment

Job Description:
Position Summary
Responsible for maintenance, servicing and repairs of roads and other infrastructure assets. This individual will be responsible for maintaining contracted assets (such as roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, litter removal etc.) per standards in the contract and as directed by supervisor.
*Please note – in order to support our road maintenance services, this role may be assigned to operations of equipment for winter (if applicable) or summer operations as required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control by setup and removal of traffic control devices including barrels, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, etc.
- Must be comfortable working from heights in bucket trucks, scaffolding, ladders and aerial platforms lifts.
- Transports crew and equipment to work sites operating vehicle large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
- Positively contribute to a diverse, inclusive and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying and harassment.
- Carry out all duties in line with Company policies and procedures as amended from time to time.
- Preparing and Painting all Sound Walls, Retaining Walls, Retaining Wall Coping, Bridge Abutments and Barrier Walls:
- Surface preparation prior to painting shall consist of cleaning, removing debris, vegetation, and graffiti from the area and high-pressure washing.
- High-pressure water at a pressure of 4,000 – 5,000 Pound per Square Inch (PSI) shall be used to clean surfaces prior to painting.
- Painting shall be performed using rollers, or airless sprayers
- Paint supplies inventory management
- Preparing and Painting at facilities:
- Painting may include landings, ladders, gangways, poles, piping, grating, tunnel equipment, and areas on the ferry vessels that are above the water line, using standard or marine grade paint where required
- Surface preparation prior to painting will follow any state and federal regulatory guidelines
- All work will be accessible from the ferry deck or land. No work will require access from the water surface
- Preparing and Painting Ramp/Toll Plaza(s)
- Sweeping and debris/litter removal from all lanes prior to painting
- Cleaning and painting of all curbs, traffic islands, gator heads, and columns
- High-pressure washing and painting of miscellaneous areas (i.e., sidewalks, parking spaces, etc.)
- Pressure Washing Bridge Abutments, Bent Caps, and Bridge Joints
- Bridge pier and abutment pressure washing shall consist of removing debris and vegetation from the abutment caps, bent caps, bridge joints, and between beams and abutment/bent back walls using a high-pressure wash (water at a pressure of 3,000 PSI minimum)
- Roadway/bridge/tunnel joints inspection and pressure washing
- Pressure wash tunnel entrances, ceiling, walls, retaining walls at the approach ramps, and the main lanes, including the approach ramps using heated water (195o Fahrenheit) at a range of 4,000 – 5,000 PSI), to remove road grit, slime, and exhaust build-up from the entrance, ceiling and drive surfaces
- All other duties as assigned.
- Avoids legal challenges by complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must practice safe work methods to remain accident and injury free.
- Ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident.
- Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to your job.
- Ability to cooperate and communicate written or verbally with co-workers and supervisor.
- Ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals to comply with contractual requirements
- Ability to work flexibly and willingness to work extensively to meet business needs
- High level of attention to detail.
- Takes ownership of responsibilities
- Basic knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools and equipment used in pressure washing and painting maintenance services.
- Skill in the use and care of small hand power tools associated with the work.
- Ability to interface with the public in a professional manner.
- 24/7 Operations- Availably for holidays, nights, weekends, overtime, and 3rd shift are required.
- On call duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to respond within contractual guidelines and timeframes
- Basic knowledge of technology (smartphones) (Preferred)
Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or GED (Required)
- One (1) year work experience in infrastructure, maintenance, and repair. (Preferred)
- One (1) year work experience in high volume commercial or residential painting and power washing. (Required)
- A valid driver license and a good driving record are required to drive a company vehicle.
- CDL and DOT certifications (Highly Desirable)
- Ability to pass and obtain Advanced MOT Certification (Required)

- Drainage repair (i.e. manholes and inlets),
- Applying MgCl2 to the roadway during cold-weather in order to support de-icing and emergency operations
- Required to be available and accessible for emergency response rotations as need for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Required to be available and accessible for accident repair and clean-up
- Effectively and efficiently execute all work requirements using a range of small, medium, and large tools and equipment,
- All other duties as assigned.
