Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Area Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of contracted assets (roadways, vegetation, etc.) as directed by the Area Supervisor.
The pay range for this position is $21–$22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Removal of snow and ice by using snow removal equipment

Assist with loading and unloading of winter materials
-
Maintain highway and other surfaces by removal of litter and debris
-
Operate vehicles and equipment as required: for surface and right-of-way maintenance to control vegetation appearance and growth.
As Required

May assist with traffic control setup and removal

Transport crew and equipment to work sites

Required to be available for emergency response as needed for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1-year work experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industrial repair, maintenance or landscaping (outdoor work)

Experience in operating a loader (asset)

Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Successful completion of training in traffic control methods, first aid, transportation of dangerous goods, WHMIS and job-related aspects of Occupational Health.

Position Summary
Responsible for responding to incidents on provincial highways. Incidents include traffic accidents, spills, and emergency situations which affect the highway and the safety of the travelling public, and other emergency situations within the right of way which affect the highway. Required to assist provincial and local police and emergency response services in incidents and accidents.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as a primary liaison between provincial and local police, fire and various emergency responders during incident management

Communicate with the Ministry of Transportation Traffic Operations Centre by 2-way radio and telephone to provide information and updates pertaining to incidents.

Responsible for completing incident Reports
-
Coordinate detour routes in the event of an asset (system or road) closure
-
Conduct follow through investigation on all fatalities to determine if facilities contributed to the accident. (Confirm that all signs were properly posted, etc.)

Track and maintain files on all major incidents and accidents involving assets, personnel and equipment within contract limitation.

Assist with the administration of third party claims by gathering documentation, paperwork and other relevant information.
-
Coordinate special events involving traffic control, detours and/or closures.

Perform all other duties as assigned

Overview
Manage and assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision. Usually an entry level supervisor position.
Job Duties
- Manage field crew in day to day production of projects
- Exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety
- Order tools and equipment
- Interpret blueprints/plans and construct accordingly

Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience managing dirt crews on highway projects
- Lift, push, or pull and move up to seventy (70) pounds
- Climb, kneel, twist, and bend in a various environments
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
- Demonstrated experience in utility work supervision to include gravity sewer, sewer force main, storm drain and waterline (NNWW preferably)
- Responsibilities to include but not limited to everyday operations for pipe installation from approved plans, planning and procuring materials for work, coordinating staff, working with owner representatives, and implementing a safe work place.
- Be able to communicate in English via verbal and written communications
- Valid driver license for occasional, required travel
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to physically maneuver by foot minor obstacles at construction projects
- Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Finishes the exposed surfaces of fresh concrete paving, median barrier and every element of concrete structures to the final trowels.
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher with strong DOT roadway and airport paving experience to join our growing team in the Dallas area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with slip form paving operations, concrete finishing, and large-scale paving projects.
This position requires travel outside of the Dallas area as needed. Employees will receive per diem compensation for qualifying out-of-town assignments.
Responsibilities
Perform concrete finishing on DOT roadway and airport paving projects
Work alongside slip form paving crews to ensure quality concrete placement and finish
Operate and use finishing tools, screeds, trowels, floats, and related equipment
Maintain proper concrete grades, slopes, and surface finishes
Assist with paving setup, pours, joint work, and curing processes
Follow all OSHA and company safety standards
Work effectively in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
Travel to project sites as required
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of concrete finishing experience preferred
Required experience with:
DOT paving projects
Airport paving projects
Slip form paving and finishing
Ability to read grades and work from site plans is a plus
Must be dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
Valid driver’s license preferred
Willingness to travel outside the Dallas area

Position Summary
Responsible for maintaining contracted assets (roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, etc.) per standards and conditions specified in the contract as directed by the Patrol Supervisor.
The pay range for this position is $25–$27 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Performing duties of shift supervisor during the winter maintenance season.

Assisting supervisor in/or completing, as directed, the organizing/planning of work to be carried out on a daily/weekly basis,

Organizing work activities by arranging for appropriate equipment, material and labor.

Overseeing work operations insuring value for money is being achieved and the work is being performed in accordance with recognized safety requirements, standards, policies and procedures.

Providing leadership and training to junior Ferrovial Services staff, including instructions on safety techniques, methods and procedures.

Inspecting work performed by contract staff for compliance to standards and contractual agreement advising contractors of deficiencies and reporting on performance to supervisor.

Advising supervisor on such matters as work performance, training, planning and organizing traffic control at work sites.
Performs administrative activities in accordance with MTO and Ferrovial Services procedures by:

Completing, reviewing and maintaining a variety of records, covering work activities related to equipment operation and maintenance hours of work, and material usage (e.g. MMIS, daily inspection books, equipment time sheets, expense forms and reports on sand and salt usage/vehicle accidents/personal injury, etc.)

Assisting in the preparation and the ongoing monitoring of the weekly, monthly and annual work plan.

Providing information for analysis of contractor or public claims.

Liaising with property owners, the general public and individuals from organizations such as police, municipal and other Ontario Government Ministries, and utility companies for the purpose of exchanging information, promoting and maintaining good public relations and as applicable, ensuring compliance with Ministry and Ferrovial Services requirements.

Ability to prepare and maintain neat accurate records.

Good investigative/analytical skills are required to research the background of claims, analyze technical data collected, evaluate the validity of different points of view and maintain objectivity in the assessment of claims.

Ability to use software packages for word processing, spreadsheet, database, electronic mail and critical path scheduling applications.

Job requires work to be performed within the Ministry and Ferrovial Services maintenance and operational policies and procedures.

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Patrol Maintenance Technician, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining contracted assets (roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, etc.) per standards and conditions specified in the contract.

- Removal of snow and ice by using snow removal equipment.
Summer Season

Maintain and repair highway and other surfaces including signs, guardrails, fence, lighting, potholes, striping, adding or replacing reflectors, litter and debris removal

Operate vehicles and equipment as required: for surface and right-of-way maintenance and repair; repair/maintenance of slopes, berms, culverts, drains, etc.; to control vegetation appearance and growth.
