About The Role
As Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Ferrovial’s HSW strategy at both corporate and business unit levels. This position leads internal and external reporting, drives audit programs, and acts as the key interlocutor for sustainability indexes and compliance processes. You will collaborate across departments, manage strategic projects, and ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing are embedded throughout the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and international best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting and Communication
- Prepare and manage reports for the Board of Directors, Management Committee, and other meetings.
- Help develop and keep corporate reporting tools up to date.
- Handle external reporting requirements, including CSRD for Ferrovial’s Annual Report and 20-F, and conduct necessary assessments.
Audit and Compliance
- Lead the HSW team in carrying out internal and external audits covering health, safety, and wellbeing data.
- Work with other departments to support the audit process.
- Take part in legal and ethical compliance activities.
- Help review and improve Ferrovial’s sustainability-linked financing plans.
Strategic Leadership and Collaboration
- Represent health and safety for sustainability indexes like DSJI and FTSE4Good.
- Contribute to Ferrovial’s overall strategy, making sure health, safety, and wellbeing are considered.
- Support the rollout of HSW strategic plans across business areas.
- Manage and oversee key projects in the HSW Strategic Plan.
- Work with HSW leaders in different business units to ensure consistency.
Performance Monitoring and Risk Management
- Track and report on progress and KPIs for the strategic plan every quarter.
- Assist with risk management by evaluating key health and safety risks at the group level.
Departmental Coordination and Office Management
- Serve as the main contact for health, safety, and wellbeing matters in any corporate department.
- Coordinate health and safety activities at the Amsterdam office.
- Plan and run HSW communication campaigns with the Communications team to encourage awareness and participation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety management, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 10 years of experience in health, safety, and wellbeing roles, including work in international environments
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and international health and safety standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for sharing complex HSW concepts within the organization.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities to support data-driven decisions.
- Experience with managing multiple projects or initiatives at the same time.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.

FDI has acquired a land plot for the development of a new hyperscale Data Center and we are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to lead all legal aspects of the project.
The role reports to the Project Director and works closely with the project leadership, engineering, procurement, finance, real estate, compliance, and operations teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing legal aspects of large-scale construction projects and, in particular, in negotiating complex construction, supply and commercial contracts with focus on allocation of risk, continuity, and remedies across large-scale project phases.
We are looking for an Legal Counsel to lead and manage all legal aspects of a data center project in Madrid[, within the data center development team belonging to Ferrovial Digital Infrastructures]. The person will be responsible for providing pragmatic commercial and regulatory advice, drafting and negotiating contracts, managing third-party legal advisors, overseeing permitting and land use matters and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies of Ferrovial across project lifecycle phases from construction to commissioning and operations.
This role requires a person that is comfortable working in fast-moving, multidisciplinary project environments with competing priorities and tight deadlines and is committed to high standards of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and professional integrity.
Requirements:
- Law degree (qualified practice law in Spain). Additional specific studies or postgraduate studies in construction law and/or energy law will be positively valued.
- Minimum demonstrable experience of 3-6 years of legal experience, preferably in in-house roles or at law firms advising on large-scale infrastructure, energy or data centre projects.
- Demonstrable track record in projects involving power procurement, grid connection, EPC contracts, or large-scale construction.
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating EPC, O&M, supply, and utility agreements, and managing claims and variations.

Procurement Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Heathrow H7 Procurement Manager
- Manage and maintain a team of buyers across various projects under the Heathrow H7 framework.
- Ensure compliant on boarding of suppliers & subcontractors in line with procedures
- Carry out comparatives/ tendering in line with the company procedures and individual client contract requirements
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders
- Ensuring purchase & hire requisitions are processed in a timely manner by the team
- Maintaining a Supplier List dashboard with key metrics; performance, spend, scope
- Providing colleagues with updates regarding critical dates
- Liaise with suppliers to monitor the progress of Purchase Orders, ensuring deliveries take place on time and in full
- Set out & maintain for each contract package a full register of materials & hires taking into account remaining credit, key dates, WBS codes etc.
- Resolving invoice queries and discrepancies with our suppliers and accounts department
- Familiarise and become proficient in assessing price comparisons and uploading comparatives on to the procurement system INSITE
- Ensuring the team maintain file management on Asite / approved repositories
- Ensure company systems, procedures and processes are always adhered to
- Communicate with suppliers, site teams and other departments in Ferrovial
- Adopting and promoting Ferrovial Construction UK Vision and Values.
- Completing End of Contract Supplier evaluation process utilizing the procurement team for delegation to wider FC stakeholders.
- Advise Project Management/Senior QSs on implications of intended courses of action
Skills and Competence:
- Previous procurement lead experience
- Good organisational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Enjoys working under pressure with good attention to detail to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication –(verbal and written) and presentation skills.
- Commercial awareness, awareness of general order terms, as well as the implications of confirmation orders from suppliers.
- Good understanding of NEC suite of contracts.
- Good IT skills and adaptability.
- Excellent knowledge of documentation systems.
- Expertise with all Microsoft packages, especially Excel including at ease being able to carry out formulas & pivot tables. Experience using Power BI.
- CIPS qualification – level 4 or higher
- Sound interpersonal skills and ability to interact collaboratively with the supply chain, colleagues and Client.
- Ability to manage a team and deliver timely high quality reports.

Scope and scale

Role summary

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design for the track slab (resilient in-situ and/or standard slab) throughout the design and construction technical life cycles, working with the design and construction teams, the designers, client and stakeholders. Ensure the track slab design comply with the appropriate client’s standards applicable, including construction design management (CDM) regulations.
- Responsible for the track slab design delivery for a high-speed contract, including integration of PW and any TW / temporary stages, integration of assurance and managing the delivery of the associated digital deliverables, in line with the construction and overall project programme, cost and client requirements. The track slab scope includes the development of resilient in situ and standard slab tracks. The design also involves integration of several types of S&C, and implies coordination with CMS, other rail system elements as well as with the civil works designs.
- The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the Designer and the supply chain inputs needed to achieve an efficient and compliant design for these elements. Manage the input from rail specialists, other design disciplines and N&V specialist in their area (in situ and/or standard slab), making sure that the design complies with the client’s Environmental Minimum Requirements.
- Close liaison with the Designer to ensure the design delivery on time, optimized and in accordance with the client’s requirements is essential. Requires working closely with supply chain providing the track elements, the client’s subject matter experts and other contractors. The role involves contributing to the management of the associated interfaces.
- Attend the weekly meetings with the construction team and broader design team and client in Birmingham and/or London.
- Attending / chairing meetings for track design related issues during design and construction and provide technical support for their mitigation.
- Support the client with identifying change, risk and opportunities and constantly striving for efficiencies and cost savings.
- Aid in the study of optimization and liaison with the commercial, planning, design delivery teams, and designers.
- Support the link and coordination with construction teams for management of track related issues.
- Provide technical input and support to relevant commercial communications (SNCs, NCRs, CEs, Departures, etc.)
- Close out track slab issues within area of responsibility in timely manner.
- Review of monitoring reports and certificates. Support delivery of progressive technical assurance during design, construction and handover process.
Key skills and experience
- Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- Chartereed IMEC, PWAy Institute or CEng ICE desirable.
- Experience relevant to rail track on major construction projects, including design, modeling, or construction support.
- A sound understanding of rail design codes.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation, impact mitigation and dealing with statutory authorities.
- Experience in managing and liaising with third parties and other contractors
- Very good communication skills
- Focus on Efficiency, Environment and Sustainability, driving innovation.
