Summary
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure works. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
Regular Job Duties

About us:
Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is a part of the Ferrovial Group in Texas. In 2021, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) selected Alamo NEX Construction, LLC, a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction Texas, LLC and DBW, LLC (both Ferrovial Group subsidiaries), to complete the Interstate 35 (I-35) NEX Central Project. This project is a $1.5 billion Texas Design-Build (DB) project through the cities of San Antonio, Live Oak, Selma, and Schertz that will consist of non-tolled improvements along I-35, I-140, and Loop 1604. JOB DUTIES: Supervise, manage, and direct the selection, training, development, appraisal, and work assignments of personnel. Develop and maintain a working relationship with the owner or the owner's representative. Anticipate project segment conflicts, communicate preventative action plans, and implement solutions to avoid issues. Generate solutions to stay on time and on budget. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and stakeholders. Provide leadership through building relationships, motivating others, providing clear direction, and cooperative teamwork. Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs. Oversee the establishment, implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures and quality review standards. Oversee the updates to the Professional Services Quality management Plan (PSQMP) as needed or as required by the contract. Four (4) years of experience on large civil infrastructure Design build or Design-bid-build projects valued at$200 million or more with the following specific experience: Previous experience managing engineering activities related to a Design Build (DB) transportation (highways, bridges, runways, or rail) construction projects. Proficiency in utilizing software to manage engineering and construction activities on DB transportation projects, specifically, Bluebeam Revu, Power Geopak, Procore, databases, and sharepoint document control systems. Working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry on a DB project. +Minimum 2 years of experience within the 4: Coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams on large DB transportation projects which include design and construction engineers, superintendents and inspectors. Calculating figures and amounts and applying concepts of algebra and geometry on DB civil infrastructure projects, specifically discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Managing project budget and cost control activities and utilizing MS Excel to track payments on a DB transportation project.

Sobre el Puesto:
Dependiendo del Director de Construcción o Site Maganer de obra de energía ubicada en la Zona Norte de Chile. Su objetivo será liderar la contratación, construcción, supervisión mecánica en la construcción de planta fotovoltaica, así como asegurar el cumplimiento de los estándares de calidad, prevención, protocolos establecidos en todos los proyectos y procesos internos de operaciones. Asignar, dirigir y supervisar al equipo de operaciones mecánicas de todos los niveles por proyecto para asignar de manera eficiente el uso de recursos y el desarrollo de capacidades.
Principales Funciones:

Supervisar los trabajos de obra eléctrica de plantas de energías renovables, asegurando el cumplimiento de las políticas de seguridad y salud y de los plazos, calidades y costes.

Job Description:
At Ferrovial Digital Infrastructure (FDI), we specialize in the development of data center assets, from powered-land search and acquisition to DC design, construction, and maintenance, and we are always looking for the most efficient and sustainable solutions.
FDI has acquired a land plot in Madrid for the development of a Data Center, and we are seeking a manager to lead the development, construction and commissioning of the electrical and other utilities infrastructure.
Additionally, the role may require assistance to FDI Projects Development Team within the Business Development and Strategy related activities.
The ideal candidate will have a background in developing grid connection electrical infrastructure. Panzer power & utilities manager will oversee the design and construction of HV/MV lines and substations, ensuring alignment with project timelines and energization strategy. This role is critical to ensuring alignment with project timelines and the energisation strategy, requiring close coordination with stakeholders, contractors, and utilities. This includes liaising with third parties such as stakeholders, distribution companies, and public administration to define next steps, establish timelines, and anticipate potential blockers.
Strong leadership, technical expertise, and communication skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Additionally, the candidate will work closely with the Energy and Utilities team within Digital Infrastructure, actively supporting the Strategy and Business Development team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mining or Energy Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree can be an advantage.
- Advance knowledge of high and medium voltage electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of Spanish Electric System, its regulations and particularities as well as possessing the ability and proactiveness to deal with other countries´, i.e. Poland, USA, etc.
- Proven track record and experience working with DSOs, TSP, suppliers and utilities companies for at least 3 years.
- Proven experience and knowledge in transmission/distribution planning applications, analysis and design.
- Experience in the design, permitting and construction of HV/MW substations and underground power lines.
- A deep understanding of power & utilities operating model and key business and technical challenges faced by utilities in current fast changing environment
- Experience in power line concessions and or business consulting is appreciated.
- Good understanding of Interconnection Agreements drafting
- Previous experience working with data center clients (e.g., hyperscale, colocation providers, or large enterprises) will be highly valued
- Ability to analyze complex situations, identify strategic opportunities for Ferrovial and develop actionable plans for pursuing these opportunities
- Ability to draft accurate support procedures, compile system documentation, and issue tracking entries while taking full ownership of technical issues

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the energy& utilities project lead of the new data center from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with project goals and business objectives.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope, objectives, and design.
- Develop and execute management plans, including resource management, cost estimation, scheduling and quality control.
- Supervise the design and construction of power & utilities infra, ensuring they adhere to best practices and timely and budget-aligned delivery of the facility.
- Conduct regular progress meetings and maintain up-to-date reports on project status, challenges, and milestones.
- Support, overview and manage complex, cross-functional HV infrastructure projects from site selection, permitting and contract execution, and keep project stakeholders informed to contribute to the performance of the team, building trust and respect in all working relationships
- Keep the projects’ progress under control by driving crisp and timely decisions, identifying and clearing blockers, and escalating appropriately
- Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposal participing in princing reviews for scope inclusions/exclusions and negotiate the cost of the work with developers, general contractors and design consultants
- Evaluate site Due Diligences, schedule tracking, and identify and solve factors that may impede a successful permitted project hand-over to Ferrovial stakeholders
- Analyse data and documents (deliverables) issued by all parties to ensure that fulfil the requirements. Ability to raise queries and track them down to ease the process.
- Monitor progress and performance to manage tasks completion according to pre-determined deadlines.
- Prepare detailed reports to reflect progress updates and present relevant findings to the team to assist with the decision-making process.

We are looking for a Project Manager (PM) to lead and manage data center projects in Spain, within the data center development team belonging to Ferrovial Digital Infrastructures. The person will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project management standards, ensuring compliance with deadlines, costs and quality, and supporting the Head of Projects Development in the execution of projects, fully aligned with FDI strategy including cutting-edge sustainable and innovative solutions
This role requires a person experienced in the management and coordination of projects in the preconstruction, construction, ready for service, and delivery to the end customer phases of large-scale data center projects
Requirements:
- Minimum demonstrable experience of 10 years as a Project Manager, preferably at least 3-5 of them in data centre projects.
- Knowledge of the data centre project lifecycle.
- PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification (desirable).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Jira, etc.).
- Ability to solve problems and make effective decisions.

Job Overview: The Utilities Design Manager will supervise and the coordinate all design works related to utilities for major transportation projects (min. $250 million/Project) and with a minimum Utility relocation budget of $50 million. - Identify to the possible extend all new Utilities on the Project not listed in the SUE provided. Determine the need to perform additional SUE investigation and coordinate this performance with potential consultants.
- Coordinate with the other tender design discipline leads to address the conflict analysis matrix with the developing design plan work. Determine and maintain conflict matrix which shall include all existing Utilities that are to remain in service/place, be abandoned and to be relocated. Update the conflict matrix while changes are implemented/proposed in the design, warning when a change could produce a significant conflict with utilities.
- Coordinate with the Tender Design Manager and the rest of the discipline leads to maximize the Utility conflict avoidance.
Prepare Utility Relocation preliminary design
- Manage the development of Utility relocation preliminary design.
- Manage, review and update the Utility concept plan in strip map plan format using conflict analysis spreadsheets to map the existing utilities versus the proposed Utility adjustments with respect to the proposed roadway plans. The Utility concept plan shall include the existing and proposed ROW, DOT highway station numbering, plan, profile, bridge structures, other existing Utilities, drainage structures, retaining walls and noise walls. The layout shall be utilized to facilitate the feasibility options for the Utility adjustments.
- Coordinate with necessary team members to determine most cost-effective conflict resolutions by assessing the impact of each Utility relocation within the Project corridor.
ROW & EASEMENTS
- Review acquired property interest information (easement documentation) from each Utility, as needed, and prepare a property matrix to establish costs associated with the Utility property interest relinquishment and acquisition.
- Support of easement acquisition tender services, if required. Prepare anticipated easement ROW areas in MicroStation.
BOQ and estimated Utility relocation construction cost
- Manage the development of the engineer's estimate of probable construction costs spreadsheet for Utility relocations.
Schedule
- Manage the development of the engineer's estimate of probable construction schedule for Utility relocations.
Qualifications:
- The UDM must have graduated from an accredited college or university with at a minimum a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or MEP.
- The UDM must have a relevant experience performing work on highway design and construction projects.
- The UDM must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience of UC on Public/Private Partnership type projects, or Desing and Build projects.
