IRB is a leading toll road developer and operator in the Indian market, having developed the country’s first Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) concession. Cintra has acquired 24.9% of the company for €369M through a preferential share issue.

As a result, we are now a significant minority shareholder with representation on the company’s Board of Directors. Our objective is to support the company’s development and share its extensive international experience in managing toll roads and analyzing new investment opportunities.

We contribute with our know-how as a company, to improve and optimize processes such as: ESG, Health Satefy & Wellbeing Policies. As well as improving the operation and maintenance processes. Optimize the performance of the assets and enhance the creation of value for the company, as well as to advise on strategic decision making.
